A few years ago i wouldnt even have realised what was happening. when we didnt have access to the variety of infomation sources, there would be no way anyone would have known that scenes were brutally snipped and cut, the hard work of the crew completely obliterated by merciless hands in the name of convenience or, even worse, censorship. the whole thing just leaves me so furious but helpless. isnt it so ironic that the same people who tell us not to plagarise, respect copyright laws and the works of people are themselves destroying the work of others?
cp is unique largely also because of the refreshingly direct lines peppered throughout the whole drama. there's no awkward abashedness about the scenes even as the issues raised are largely prickly and sensitive in a conservative society. but all these were reduced to nothing at all with a few deft cuts here and there. the two heart wrenching lines after 결 first affirmed the meaning behind the currents were removed. 결's touching confession to 찬 was completely marred when the most critical line was lifted. here and there little things are erased, blotted out. all the effort down the drain, in seconds.
whats the point? nothing has changed here. not at all.
