1N2D 080622 Trip | 1 Comments

Great episode again as usual. KHD is DA MAN!!! 6 consecutive rounds of wrestling and he beat them all! Woah~ Was nice of him to do the laundry even though it was obvious he was beat. Gotta really love these guys.

The mass shower
So the guys are done washing the clothes and want to take a shower. I can totally understand why, it must have been so horribly sweaty and sticky after the football game and all that washing. While trying to wring the uniform dry, MCM called LSG over to help him wring the uniform together, to which MCM starts turning around while wringing the clothes dry. LSG decides to copy what MCM does and follows suit. But being huh-dang seung gi, he OF course turned the wrong way. MCM's expression when he saw LSG turning the wrong direction was priceless. He was just staring at LSG with a ??!! expression and couldn't say a word! It was kind of a stunned and shocked silence peppered with amusement. Funny! So he told LSG that he turned in the wrong direction and they try again, this time successfully. KHD then decides that its time to wash themselves.

KHD (asking the producer): Can we shower here?
LSG: But the cameras are all here...
KHD (to the cameramen): Please leave us for a minute. We want to take a shower.
But of course they won't leave the guys alone without a camera, and the producers leave a camera in the bathroom. So the six guys start standing in front of the camera to check that they wouldn't be recording anything that isn't PG. After they've confirmed that basically nothing much but the upper half of their bodies can be seen, they proceed to take off their shirts and shower. KHD comes in front of the camera to show the small scratch that he got on his chest from the wrestling match earlier on and LSG moves over to take a look at it too. After exclaiming "Wah!~~", LSG just abruptly walks off and LSGuen walks over to have a look at KHD's chest. And we find out why our boy walked off..

LSGuen (suddenly): Aish!! LEE SEUNG GI!!!! Why are you peeing!!
MCM: Ahh!! LEE SEUNG GI PISSED!

LMAO!!! These guys really love to over react to everything and anything!! I was going at their conversation. Too much information! Haha, alright, so now you guys know our perfect little boy does answer the call of nature, and he doesn't bat an eyelid at doing it in front of his dear hyungs. Seriously, we've been discussing so much about the little traces here and there that we see of the brotherly love between the six of them, but i think this really takes the icing on the cake. You really have to be VERY comfortable with someone else if you are just going to randomly pee i the middle of nowhere

KHD: Viewers, LSG's upper body.. semi nude!
LSG walks over to the camera and starts posing. Meanwhile the captions say that they can't see anything because the camera lens has misted over. And i think KHD uses LSG's undies to wipe the mist off the camera. I'm not really sure, since I haven't been learning the language long, but LSG says something like 재 팬티로 닦으면 어떡해요?, which i think means 'How can you use my panties to wipe (the camera)?' Ahh, Eeqeeuzee help me out here will you? Sometimes i get confused by what they say Oh by the way, this is really random, but i've always found how koreans refer to their undergarments in general as panties amusingly wierd. To me panties are a subset of undergarments and not the whole of them.. PLus i kind of think the word panties should be used exclusively for female underwear? LOL. maybe its just me.
Anyway, so LSG continues to pose for the camera while MCM is at the side with his antics as usual. LOL, MCM is really cute sometimes. Oh, and the captions said that LSG has a great body and i agree I'm quite sure a few of us here are together on this point.

In the bunk
Nothing much happens here, the guys just go to the army boys' bunk and start chatting up a storm with them, asking them to send their regards to their family through the show, and then they start opening a few lockers to explore the stuff in there. I noticed that their lockers are really nice, with different compartments that are big and roomy, not like the tiny and cramped army cabinets my guy friends are using now (In Singapore its mandatory for the boys to enter army at 18 for two years. My korean teacher says for korean guys, they usually enter the army in their second year of university, which puzzled me quite a little since there are so many celebs going in at age 30..) Before KHD started digging around in the guy's lockers, he started asking this guy some questions.
KHD: Do you watch 1N2D often?
Army Boy: Yes I do.
KHD: Which is the most interesting program in Korea?
Army Boy: ... 1N2D.
KHD: So who do you wish to see most?
Army Boy: (after a long pregnant pause) ... KHD ajusshi (ajusshi = middle aged man)
KHD starts cracking up after that because the guy actually called him ajusshi. LOL! The first locker that they explored was boring and empty, so KHD just slammed it shut it (haha!) and moved on to the second one where there was a picture of the guy on the locker. Apparently it was taken of him when he was 20, one year ago. So they were discussing the guy's age, and it turns out he's a 87 baby like Seung Gi, and they were commenting on how different their lives are now. ( I can't imagine if LSG has to leave for army, I think I will suffer from serious LSG live performance withdrawals...) Anyway the funny thing is that they were exploring the guy's locker, and they dug out a calendar from his locker which has a '쭝 생일" written on it, meaning Jjong's birthday.
Army Boy: Its my dong seng's (sister) birthday.
KHD starts questioning the poor army guy whether it really is his sister (or girlfriend), and EJW points out that Jjong is written all over the calendar, a dead giveaway that the 'sister' is a girl he likes and not his biological sister. EJW can be pretty sharp when he wants to be! So KHD starts bugging the guy, asking him whether he loves Jjong, and asking him to confess in front of the camera. At first the guy is really shy, and he says he doesn't like her, and KHD starts his interrogation.
KHD: Do you like her or do you love her? Do you like her?
Army boy: I'm CONCERNED about her..
KHD: (relentlessly) Do you love her?
Army boy: (has no choice but to admit) I love her.
KHD starts getting all excited about having forced the confession out of the shy guy. He asks the guy if he has anything to say to the girl and he says he hopes to see her. Aw, it must be so sweet to have a guy confessing on national tv on your favourite program that he likes you Anyway, they move on to the third locker, but before they can open the locker, all the army boys dashed out of the room after hearing a command shouted. And BOY, they did dash out FAST! In less than 3 seconds the entire soom was cleared out, leaving the 6 guys all bewildered in the room. LOVED the question marks that came out on the screen during this scene ????? It totally reflected the astonished expressions on their faces, like deers caught in headlight. Their expressions were PRICELESS. Even the usually disinterested looking EJW looked shocked. So the 6 guys followed the army guys out, and it turns out they are having some night drill thing. What happens next pretty much speaks for itself, I think I don't have to explain much. I found it really cute and funny how LSG looked so excited, amazed and shocked by the entire process When KHD was asking if it was a real life situation, LSG was like going "Surely not? Surely not? Aiyee hyung what are you talking about man??" LOL, he looked like a terrified little boy, and the second round of firing had him covering his ears and almost falling onto KimC, and the screen captions said "MOMMY!!~~". Actually, to be more accurate, ALL six of them looked like terrified little boys huddling together, not knowing what is going to happen next. After the whole thing, they find out that the person doing the Vulcan firing is the shy boy who made his love confession earlier. Jjong's man! KHD was screaming away "Are you watching this now Jjong??" LOL. I love the spontaneity of the show!

Back at KBS
So the trip has ended, and the guys are gathered at KBS for a 1N2D meeting. KHD arrives first, after which he leaves the meeting room and EJW comes in. EJW really acts like a small kid sometimes, the first question he asked when he went in was "Oh, am I in first place?" haha! Anyway, the PD tells him KHD arrived first and EJW goes out in search of KHD. LSG then arrives and starts sort of complaining how they have to come back at 12am, after which LSGuen, KimC and MCM arrives. I found the part where MCM and his manager coming out of the lift really funny. The lift door opened and the two of them were just totally surprised and stunned for a second. MCM quickly regained his composure and swaggered over to the camera with that evil smirk on his face while his manager was still really confused behind him. And when his manager regained his composure, if you look carefully enough, he nearly got caught by the closing doors of the lift while walking out. For some odd reason, that totally cracked me up. The meeting then starts with them talking about how the ratings for 1N2D have stayed consistently high and hasn't fallen under 40% (its ridiculously high isn't it? just goes to show how far the program has come with the 6 guys), to which the six guys stand up to thank the audience. This part was funny cuz the staff sitting behind were all nonchalantly watching the 6 guys when they stood up, and KHD turned back to chide them "What are you guys DOING??!!" in the middle of his thank you speech, which made them snap up instantly. After the whole thank you speech, KHD and MCM started doing their whole bowing and thanking the audience routines. KHD kind of just shoved MCM aside to hog the camera to say "Dear viewers, I really love you. Oh teachers, I love you!" HAHA!! KHD and his teachers who seem to be everywhere. LSG hears this statement and mutters "Man, there really are so many of those teachers". LOL at his wisecrack. MCM then yells at the staff "WHY AREN'T YOU CLAPPING??!!" haha!

Anyway, after that the PD officially announces they are going to Baekdusan and there are some hilarious moments when they discuss the trip details and KHD starts acting all surprised about the trip.

The guys are done thanking the audience for the continued support for the show, and they all calm down and settle down for the second half of the meeting, where the most important things are going to be discussed.
PD: Everyone. Our 1N2D team is going to BAEKDUSAN!
KHD then goes OOOOOOHHH!!! with a totally exaggerated expression, big round eyes, big opened mouth, the works.
LSGuen: (totally calm and unsurprised) Eh. Yea.. of course we are going.
Everyone starts laughing and the screen captions go "WE ALREADY KNOW ALL ABOUT IT~~!" Our LSG was then going excitedly on about how they had been already been bugged by the PD for their visas, passports and stuff and so they can't possibly be ignorant to this piece of news. And he was also going on about how they've been bugged so many times for the photos to be used for their China visas, and exclaims how KHD's acting is really superb, while all the other guys are laughing themselves silly. KHD does a rerun of his expression of exaggerated surprise, which has even the PD laughing himself to bits. EJW then mentions how there were so many news articles online dedicated to this 1N2D team going to Baekdusan issue, so how could they all fake ignorance (like KHD, LOL!) After that they played a mini introduction for the guys trip, and we return back to their discussion.

EJW: How about Sang Guen? (You can really tell that the guy loves that dog. He's always playing with it and concerned about it.)
PD: Because Sang Guen will have to be quarantined if he goes..
EJW: (in a very concerned tone) He's not going??
I think EJW then starts going on about how there's a world of difference between their situations, while they have to go BDS, Sang Guen gets to stay home, which again cracks everyone up. MCM suggests that they take a plane to get to BDS, which would them take 3-4 hours to get to China. The PD was like, do you actually think we will be taking the plane?
MCM: We are taking the boat? AGAIN??! Like how we got to Jeju?
BINGO! The older guys all start sighing.
PD: The boat is going to take 16 hours to get to China.
The guys look like a bomb was dropped onto their heads. 16 hours on a ship/boat is really crazy! KHD starts questioning the PDs on why things are going this way, while MCM tries to reason the PDs out of this crazy idea by telling them how hard it would be on the cameramen to lug around the equipment for 16 hours on the boat. Of course the PDs are not changing their minds on this! After they calmed down a little, the PD proceeded to tell the guys that they would have to take a bus for another 19 hours after the 16 hours on the boat, and the guys go crazy. 16hours+19hours=!!!!
LSGuen suddenly asks "I'm not going to have to drive the bus, am I??" HAHAHA!! He has plenty to be worried about since he's kind of the in house driver for the 6 guys. And the episode ends here. So looking forward to the episode for tomorrow! Oh yes, there was something i found really wierd in this episode too. The PD said 16 hours on boat and 19 on bus, which should add up to 35 hours. But the trailers at the end of the episode said they took 45 hours to get to the place. I'm lousy at math, but I'm pretty sure i didn't calculate 16+19 wrongly.. Let's see about this in tomorrow's episode.

1N2D 080615 Soccer&wrestling match | 1 Comments

A mobile job is sure tiring. I'll be sorry but also glad when it ends next week. So many things happened this week, and I was going up and down on an emotional roller coaster ride. As usual, I hate changes, but what can I do in face of them? Just accept and move on grudgingly, I guess. Well, on the bright side, my meeting with my 한국어 선생님 to be in 2 semesters time was really great! It sure is nice to hear her reassurance that my level of understanding of 한국어 is more than passable, but there's still so much to be learnt, I think. Well, at any rate, things are good and bad, as life always is. Luckily there's always people around me who are supportive and encouraging. And I love the people on soompi! They're so nice. Alright, here's the translations for this week's 1N2D, taken as usual from what i did on the LSG soompi thread.

Watching them play soccer this week made me really happy! It reminds me of the endless late nights I spent watching the World Cup over the years, and the occasional game or two that I play! OHMYGOSSSHHH, I am falling harder for LSG after watching him play in the soccer game! His footwork is pretty nifty for someone who probably doesn't have too much time to play often, and I was so fangirling away when watching the match. Sure, the footwork, passes and saves (man, just look at KHD, LOL) aren't anywhere near professional standards, but it was such a fun and exciting game to watch nevertheless! I was rooting for the 9 member 1N2D team (duh!), but awww, they lost! LSG looked every bit the dashing hero playing around with that pole. And he's FINALLY shown those muscles he's been hiding under those layers and layers of clothes! It was quite a sight to behold, his cute boyish face + muscular arms + impish grin. Odd combination, but it works, since he's dearie 허당LSG. A living paradox!

Ahh, there's so much on 1N2D this week that I have no idea where to start! Well, a lot of the parts are pretty self explanatory, especially the games, so I guess I'll just skim over that and write about the funny parts. LSG's bungee jumping (more accurately his inability to bungee jump) has been discussed by so many people to death, and everyone seems to have a different take on it. Well, i can only say i think LSG was rather affected by the entire incident too, since he was practicing how to bungee jump (LOL!) and his little conversation with the PD in the morning was also quite revealing of what he felt.

At night
So the guys have searched for their base camp, parked their car and got off. Here, the merry making starts. Our dashing hero Iljimae brandishes his weapon, lo and behold, a stick! Nearby, a flute sounds, played by a mysterious LSGuen who hides behind his hat.
LSG: Are you the legendary taewondo master of Korea?
LSGuen: My father died holding a grudge. And blood will spill when I avenge him today.
*prepares for battle* Dashing hero and takewondo 'master' both flaunt their ability to twiddle a pole. With a loud scream "I'm coming!", the battle starts, and i'm expecting an exciting fight. But... taewondo master starts limping towards his enemy! I laughed out LOUD at this scene. LSGuen wins hands down, and the fight remains PG and family friendly. Ahh, such a comedian, LSGuen. The rest of the stuff that happens next speaks for itself. KHD just goes around tricking people with that pole, thoroughly enjoying himself, and eventually breaks the pole between MCM's legs. At first I didn't get why they were laughing so hard, until i saw that broken pole. Goodness gracious! LOL. LSG also shows us how totally random he can be, which i found hilarious! He was so nonchalantly practicing his bungee jumping (off a 'platform' that is hardly more than 15cm tall!! ) amidst all the laughter when MCM was invited to kick that pole by KHD, like as if it was the most natural thing to do next to breathing. LOL!!! KHD and MCM tried to team up and get MCM's manager to fall for the whole kick the pole trap, but the manager says he's seen everything. And then he turns into a flasher for a split second. OMG, it was too funny! I just looove how the 1N2D editors make use of music and sound effects to achieve extremely effective comic timing, like in this case. Its almost become the show's unique feature, in my opinion.

Of course we all know they randomly decided to start filming the 1N2D version of Godfather, where two timid guys face off four tough gangsters. The whole thing was so funny! Now we know gangster MCM's idea of scary is to hold up an iron plank to whack someone, only to drop it behind him because its too heavy. HAHA!! So KHD, EJW and MCM were like extorting KimC and LSG, and the show is just about to get exciting when Godfather LSGuen turns into grandfather and yells "HEY!! I'm going back first! Its too cold." LOL!! And so the whole mafia story was ended because grandfather LSGuen was too weak to withstand the cold. Funny!

Dinner
As usual the 6 guys are negotiating with the PD for food. The terms that the PD offers do not please KHD, so he produces his mafia sidekick, EJW to speed up the negotiations.
EJW: THERE ARE 6 PEOPLE HERE NOW OK! You should give us 3 packs of ramyeon, 3 packs! The gray mullet (a type of fish) still hasn't been able to be digested you know? (he says this in reference to the fish that MCM caught previously)
Haha! The PD eventually gives in to EJW's mafia power. They are given 3 packs of ramyeon, rice and of course, kimchi. They then start discussing about where to sleep. The PD tells them that they will have to sleep in the camping car, or just outdoors anywhere they deem fit. KHD asks the PD "Oh, so there are tents (prepared for them in the case they decide to sleep outdoors) right?" The PD said incredulously, "Its summer, what tents (are you talking about) man?!" EJW protests and says "I have a half coat on now!". Its quite true, even though its summer, it still looks pretty cold there, and sleeping without a tent is surely not too enticing for them. Goodness, i can foresee the 6 guys are going to have to go through a lot of in the weeks to come, considering the PD's attitude Anyway, the 6 guys then happily start cooking their long awaited dinner. In the process, we find out that LSGuen and EJW are really still kids at heart, and they start play acting and role playing.
LSGuen: Boss! Boss! Why isn't my hamburger here yet?
EJW: Hamburger?
LSGuen: I ordered it some time ago! Why isn't it here yet!
EJW: Please wait a moment, wait a moment. (produces a frying pan 'hamburger') That will be 2000Won.
LSGuen hands him wooden chopsticks 'money'.
LSGuen: Boss! Why didn't you give me the hamburgers?
EJW: I gave it to you! Look you even paid me! (brandishes his 'money')
LSGuen: What? When did i give you money?
This time LSGuen gives him tissue money and asks for the hamburger again. EJW asks him to wait a moment, and comes back telling LSGuen that he's run of hamburgers and replaces it with tissue 'toast' in a cup. LSGuen accepts it, and asks EJW to serve him some sweets. And EJW gives him some tissue 'sweets' in a cup and throws in some instant coffee as a service (a freebie). LSGuen starts counting out his tissue money again and asks for cola this time. LSG walks over and tries to stop LSGuen from playing with the tissue paper and LSGuen chides him, saying "What tissue paper? This is money! Ahh, this person. Why do you think money is tissue?" ahh, what a childish duo, LSGuen and EJW!! The funniest part of this entire play acting was at the end where LSGuen asks EJW for corn (maize) tea, and EJW hands him a BIG bottle of corn OIL. Oh my goodness! I was just staring open mouthed and laughing at their childish but oh-so-funny antics.

Bedtime
Fast forward, and they're done eating dinner and are preparing to sleep. LSG trying to get on the bed but almost falling was endearing. Our dear boy is really a very adorable and cute klutz. LSG and LSGuen exchange clothes here, and boy, LSG is really a clothes hanger. Almost all clothes look good or at least halfway decent on him. Anyway, they prepare to sleep, and here LSGuen gives an UTTERLY HILARIOUS news broadcasting and goes on to give a commentary on LSG-EJW-KimC's bungee jump. I wish there was some way I could translate his whole commentary to give full credit to the humour in his speech, but its really impossible to do so. Basically he's speaking in korean, but with a very heavy accent such that it sounds foreign. The captions say that he's trying to mimic a mainland chinese accent, but the actual accent he spoke with is much closer to the chinese dialect Cantonese. It was really really really amazing that he managed to make it sound so close to the dialect while still speaking korean, and its really funny! LSGuen really managed to get the accent down very well! He then went on to mimic a Japanese accent and even counted in Japanese. My goodness, this guy is really really funny!! No wonder the other 5 guys were laughing their heads off.

All right, so the lights are off and the boys are all having fun listening to the late night radio chinese broadcasts, with DJ LSGuen giving a belated commentary of that infamous bungee jumping incident. KHD comments that it feels like they are really tuned into a chinese station, and i couldn't agree more. The 'chinese song' that LSGuen sang was utterly hilarious too. And with that, the day draws to an end, and our 6 guys sleep peacefully for the rest of the night, until day breaks again.

Hijacked camping car
Its early in the morning and the 6 guys are sleeping soundly. KHD snores and EJW replies with snoring too. So funny! They are sleeping so soundly that they don't realise a mysterious figure has stealthily crept into the driver's seat, preparing to drive them off to an unknown destination! Their camping car has been hijacked! I found it kind of wierd that the PD had to get in from the right door to crawl into the driver's seat. I mean, couldn't he have just used the left door? LOL. Anyway, he drives off the camping car with all of them still sleeping. As usual our light sleeper LSG wakes up looking really confused at what is happening, and the caption read "Why is the car moving?" The captions were really hilarious!
LSG: Who are you? (Caption reads 'Is this a dream?')
He doesn't wait for the reply to know who is driving the car and falls back to sleep, and the caption reads 'I'm seeing things in my dream.' LOL!! So the PD continues driving and deliberately starts honking, presumably to wake the guys up. Eventually KimC and LSG do wake up.
LSG: Oh my! Why are you suddenly driving?
PD: We are going to get two of you guys to go on a selected sightseeing tour, so we are going over to the place now.
LSG: Two of us? (captions say 'Its ok if it isn't me...) He then starts tickling MCM's feet to wake him up, and when that fails, he elbows MCM in the knee. So cute, LSG! LSG keeps trying to wake MCM and tells him the car is moving, but MCM just ignores him and hugs LSG, which i found soooo adorable. MCM then sort of wakes a little to see who is driving, but groans and falls back and continues to hug LSG and pat his back (and the captions say its ok, its ok, LOL!!!) like a big brother comforting a younger brother. Awwww.. their brotherly love is so lovely and cute! Then again, someone HAS got to fart and spoil the moment as usual. Haha!! So LSG gets up once and for all this time, and begins talking to the PD.
PD: Do you want to go sight seeing, Seung Gi?
LSG: Its not even certain who will do the sight seeing now, what are you talking about.. I can't even bungee jump.. I will work hard.
The two of them then start talking about the infamous bungee jumping incident.
PD: Given another chance, do you think you will be able to jump?
LSG: Another chance? Hmmm. I think I might be able to jump at night. But if you ask me to jump in the day, I don't think I can do it.
PD: What did your parents say after watching it (the bungee jumping)?
LSG: They didn't anything to me..
Ah, LSG was playing with his nails while saying that and he really looked quite dejected. Can't help feeling sorry for the poor boy, he seems to be really quite bothered about not being able to jump. Anyway, he goes to the back of the car after his conversation with the PD in search of some food, but he finds none, and laments how the stuff has all been eaten. He's cute in his waking up moments! His messy hair, dazed look and all. Oh and i have NO IDEA how EJW survived sleeping with KHD. He looked like he was squashed completely by KHD and I'm rather surprised he didn't suffocate, LOL. So they got to the pier and it was time to pick two of them to go on the boat trip for 'sight seeing'. As usual, the ones who picked the dreaded kanari would have to go on the boat. I found it pretty amusing that EJW and LSG got picked. The two who couldn't bungee jump. It was sweet of the other guys to give the two of them jackets to wear on the boat. And LSG was so funny when the boat started to move off and he realised he didn't have his sunscreen lotion with him. He just suddenly stood up and screamed "Sun cream!!!" to the others on the shore On the boat LSG and EJW start complaining about how ridiculous it is to send them onto the boat without first giving them breakfast, and that they were hungry. Is anything new? They are ALWAYS hungry, these two boys. What happens after that is pretty self explanatory, they just joined in the kanari catching. LSG was like a little boy, asking many questions, talking a lot, being amazed by the kanari and staring in open eyed wonder at the kanari.

I think that's about everything, the rest is just them playing soccer and wrestling. Oh, speaking of which, the captions for the wrestling match between LSG and the big army guy was too funny for words. HEO-DANG VS TERMINATOR. LOL!!! I nearly choked laughing at the caption, it really captured the essence of the match quite well. Looking forward to KHD's first match in 20 long years!! The ex-champion returns on 1N2D. Woo!!

hard to accept | 2 Comments

it is really sometimes hard to accept, but i have no choice, do i? at some point of time, this will happen and its not just limited to friends, if you know what i mean.
maybe i should have trusted my sixth sense. i kind of knew this was coming, but i didnt know it would happen so fast and suddenly. its selfish, but part of me wishes that it had never happened. i dont want us to potentially grow apart because now we are in different worlds. now i know how silly of me it is to scoff at those disputes on tv dramas where the BFF sets an ultimatum. it is really hard to accept in the beginning, especially when it means you'll be left behind and alone. i have played my part in helping, and now that the dream's materialised, i should be happy for them, shouldn't I?

080608 1N2D 백령도 가요!! | 2 Comments

Translations for the first half of this ep, taken from what I did in the Soompi thread. Be back for more later this week. Congrats to 승기오빠 on his successful return to 뮤식뱅그! The 여행을 떠나요 performance was smokin'! (even though the key was lowered for some strange reason). Ah, so much to celebrate this week, and I finally snagged a not-too-bad paying vacation job. Life can be good! Even though this is a day late, 은지원씨, 생일축아해요!! 은초딩 파이팅! Funny wouldn't be funny without our dear 은초딩. Hope the hair grows out soon, the buzz cut really adds to his years.

I MUST say that i absolutely adore 1N2D for their spontaneity. Next week the guys are going to play soccer with some army guys they met on the way. Looks fun!

On the boat
The six guys are headed off to Baengnyeongdo this time, and they're taking a boat to get there. First they head out to the deck to check it out.
EJW: Actually I'm a little worried about today..
KHD: Why?
EJW: Its 2 days 3 nights..
MCM: Shall I go 'take care' (of the crew) for you then? (take care as in go whack them or something, lol!! MCM is so funny!)
KHD: Ah, its ok..
MCM starts making mean faces, which cracks KHD up totally. Apparently MCM is trying to act like a despicable cad (in line with his 'taking care of the crew'), and KHD covers his face so that he can do it one more time for the camera.
MCM (making a mean face): Are you going to change your channel now? CHANNEL?
LOL, KHD is so amused that he asks Iljimae (well, LSG of course. I was a little surprised KHD called him that.) to try too. But LSG's version doesnt look mean at all! Then the guys start complaining that he looks good and cute instead of mean, to which they ask MCM to demonstrate the mean face again. After that KHD tells the viewers last week we saw EJW the dooly (둘리 - its a character from a cartoon, a baby dinosaur) and this week we will see the mean dooly. So EJW joins in the fun too together with MCM to make weird faces and KHD falls on the floor laughing at them. Funny!!

Multiplication table game
Back in the boat they of course decide to play a game (I think the winners get to have snacks), and so they team up, KimC-MCM-LSG vs KHD-EJW-LSGuen. KHD gets picked to go against KimC and so they start the game. Basically the game involves multiplication tables, and KHD fails miserably on his 1st attempt. He answers that 3X7=36, and LSGuen exclaims about how embarrassing it is that KHD doesnt even know his multiplication tables and that someone should call Baeksang (presumably to inform them how their award winning host is such an embarrassment and take away his award,lol). Thus, MCM, LSG and KimC run off to buy their snacks, and LSGuen remarks that 4X7 is not even 29, how can it be 30+..? While the 3 boys are buying their snacks, LSGuen and KHD start playing a 'most ridiculous answer' version of the multiplication table game.
KHD: 3X8?
LSGuen: 1364! 2X9?
KHD: 400. 3X7?
LSGuen: 640. 2X8?
And the screen flashes 'they're fools..' then KHD and LSGuen decides to play the multiplication table game by punning on the words.
KHD: 6x3 = building (63 building)
LSGuen: 2x9 (ee gu) = ahna (the whole thing will sound like Iguana)
2x8 (ee pal - it sounds like this arm in korean)= gypsum (as in plaster of paris, meaning its in a cast..)
he's actually quite smart to come up with the multiplication table puns on the spot! really funny guy, Mr comedian LSGuen.

The PD decides to give KHD another chance to answer 5 multiplication questions, and they start again. LSG suddenly cuts into their conversation.
LSG: Hyung, can you try this again first? 2X1 is 2, 2X2 is 4... (asking him to practice his multiplication table of 2!! Haha, sneaky old LSG..)
KHD laughs in bitterness, and MCM joins in the teasing. The PD then proceeds with the game, where KHD answers the question wrongly again! The only question KHD managed to answer right was 4X8, haha! They then get LSG to practice playing the game.
KHD: 7X6?
LSG: 42
KHD: 8X6?
LSG: 48
KHD: 8X4?
LSG: 32
KHD: 9X7?
LSG: 63
KHD: 7X6
LSG: (hesitates) 42
KHD: 3X8
LSG: 32
KHD: 7X6?
LSG: Why are you asking this again? 42
KHD: 6X7?
LSG: 42.. 7X6 and 6X7 is actually the same you know?
And they change sides, LSG does the asking this time.
LSG: 3X3?
KHD: 9
LSG: 3X7?
KHD: 21
LSG: 3X8?
KHD: 24
LSG: 3X9?
KHD: 27
LSG: 3X1
KHD: 3
LSG: 3X2
KHD (his face starting to change): 6
LSG: 3X3
KHD: 9
LSG: 3X4
KHD (bites his lips): 12
LSG: 3X5
KHD (trying to contain his laughter): 15
LSG: 3X6
KHD (now feeling really embarrassed and practically spits out the answer): 18
LSG: Ahh, you know all of the multiplication table of 3! After you practice your multiplication table of 4, we will start again, ok?

LSG just keeps on asking KHD questions from the multiplication table of 3. KHD realises this, as well as the fact that LSG is doing this to make fun of him, and KHD makes a face that was really really hilarious! Ahh.. Seung Gi is getting really cheeky these days! Naughty naughty to make fun of KHD like this.. anyway, the guys fall asleep after this, and they get woken up by the PD to choose a person to get off the boat to go catch fish and earn money. LOL! Poor MCM gets sabotaged for the job, to which he starts yelling his manager's name and drags his manager into the job too.

MCM's fishy job
MCM and his manager had to go catch fish to earn money for the six guys, so they got off earlier to do the job. The whole process was hilarious! MCM kept asking his manager whether he was ready to run and throw the huge green fishing net into the sea, and when they finally started running, MCM tripped over something and fell! But that wasnt the funniest part, the funniest thing was that MCM's mananger suddently exclaimed that his pants got torn! And the tear was near the crotch area, so he was grabbing his pants in a rather unsightly manner. Well, they tried running into the sea again, and this time MCM kept falling over because of the waves. He gave up and ran to the shore screaming that it was really cold, and started piling the warm sand all over himself. LOL! MCM's manager then yelled that the tear in his pants had gotten even bigger! While MCM was busying covering himself up with sand to warm himself up, his manager ripped two holes in a pink sack and wore it as makeshift pants. FUNNY!!! MCM later caught a fish using a basket, and both he and his manager was sooo happy about it! LOL!

Thanks to happy sunday, i'm back to blogging. Even though its just translation for now, maybe i'll start penning (or typing for that matter) the millions of thoughts that keep swirling in my head. When i have the energy to deal with them..

4th anniversary | 0 Comments

승기오빠! 진심으로 추하드립니다! 파이팅, 오빠!

Wow, I'm really late. Then again, better late then never. Even though its been only 5 months, still going strong. Salute to those on Soompi who are also in this with me. Happy 4th year anniversary! Hope there are many many many more years to come, 승기오빠! 우리 영원히 사랑해!~

I didnt want to blog about this in the same entry, but I guess it doesnt matter anymore. It was supposed to be a special day for me 2 days ago too. Time has realy done wonders. If not for me logging onto FB, I wouldnt even have remembered the significance. Things have really faded away, tucked away in a small corner never to be unearthed again.

On a happier note, happy 4th year anniversary!

Its 1N2D again! | 0 Comments

Continuation from last week's bungee ep. This week has plenty of LSG moments, and its really funny to boot. Just a quick summary here, what i posted om soompi. Will be back to beef it up later this week.

In the bathroom
MCM: Why is the hot water not working?
LSG: Oh, why's it not working? Was it not working from just now?
MCM: I'll just get the water from here.
And he picks up this cup and starts splashing water on his head. Its really funny, the bathroom scene, the two of them look like they are bathing to prepare to take a mugshot or something. I think LSG tries getting the hot water out from the shower again after that and he succeeds and realises its because they turned the shower knob the wrong side or something, and he says something like 'look the hot water is totally hot!' Ahhh.. so funny! Then MCM just starts doing his whole shampoo hair routine for the camera while LSG is gargling shower water in the background after that, and nearly chokes on it upon hearing one of MCM's wisecracks. This was really a classic scene..

While preparing to sleep
LSG shares his skincare routine with MCM. The whitening part made me think of the episode of Sang Sang Plus where LSG was a guest and he mentioned how he cares most about the whitening part in his skincare regime. I guess he knows as well as we do that maintaining a pretty face takes a lot of work, not to mention products LSG then mentions something about how its time to sleep but he cant sleep. Just at this time, the PD passes him something.
LSG: What's this? Wait a minute, what's this again~!!
The PD pushes a piece of paper and an inkpad across to him, while he just stares open mouthed at them. Flashback to the bungee platform where LSG sells himself out.
LSG: Aiyoo, suddenly i feel so tired
And so he lies down and pretends to snore, cute!! But he suddenly gets up again and mutters to himself something like "I really dont know what the police are doing.." Ah, LSG is so funny grumbling about his being exploited. So he starts writing the contract, and MCM steps on the piece of paper he's writing.
LSG: Hyung, this is an important time for me!
MCM: Why?
And he continues to write the contract, with MCM at the side all confused about what he's doing (since he wasnt up on the platform with them then.) LSG completes his contract and starts scribbling furiously on another piece of paper, while KHD and LSGuen are in the background enjoying the eggs they just boiled. Enter KimC beside LSG.
KimC: What did you do wrong again? A contract for 5 generations?! Hey do you know what it means to be bound to the contract for 5 generations?
LSG: Exactly..
KimC: If its 5 generations, it means until your children's children's children's children!
Oh this conversation had me rolling on the floor. I love KimC!! His laymen's explanation for 5 generations was so side-splitting! Anyway, LSG finishes his scribbling on the other piece of paper and it turns out that he was writing EJW's contract (the 50 years thing).

LSG: Hyung come here and sign this.
EJW: What?
LSG: We have to sign a contract remember?
EJW: Its not me!
LSG: Aiyee, let's just do a double together!
EJW: WHAT?!
LSG: Its like we're a couple (smiles.. aiieee... that smile totally melted me into a puddle)
EJW: WHAT? Yah, its not me! Aiiee, really Seung gi yah, why's it me again?!
LSG: Look at this. Its a ridiculous contract (refering to his own copy). Look at mine. Hyung, yours is not too bad (in comparison).
EJW: But why is this mine?!
LSG (totally ignoring EJW's question): Yours is a contract for 50 years..
EJW: Why is my contract written by YOU?
LSG (continuing to ignore EJW's question): You'll have to film 2 episodes a year and some special events..
EJW: This is not a contract. You have to include quotations for pay and stuff to make it a contract. There's no mention of money in this, just what I'M going to do only.
LSG: So this is a promissory note?
EJW: Yea, its a promisory note. Why would I agree to do this? Are you mad?
LSG: Oh yea.. this isnt a contract... (captions say he's really.. Heo-Dang)
EJW: Like i've told you before.. The words of your elders are never wrong. So dont go around everywhere signing things again in future.
LSG: Yah.. Hyung your IQ is really 160!

For once our Cho-ding becomes the wise one, and LSG is still as clueless as ever. Gosh, their exchanges can be so hilarious sometimes.

LSG's 1st practice marriage
While in the middle of playing the game, a small girl walks up to LSG with a piece of paper for him to sign, and the guys go crazy behind him.
KHD: Give Seung Gi oppa a kiss!
(little girl kisses him) aawww~~ sooo uber cute!!!!
KHD: Give a kiss to me too! Me too!
(little girl looks horrified)
KHD then asks everyone to sit down and gets the little girl to run to the one she likes best. No surprise, she heads right for LSG.
KHD: Do you want to marry LSG oppa?
(she nods) and KHD starts the practice marriage ceremony
KHD: Groom LSG, will you love the bride forever?
LSG: ...Yea!
KHD: Bride, will you love groom LSG forever?
(she nods) and so the two of them bow to each other and give a 'love-kiss'. LSG then offers the little toddler his arm and the two happy newly-weds walk down the aisle to complete the ceremony! Only in LSG's case, he's waddling like a cutie duck down the aisle with his bride. Haha, LSG's really come a long way, hasnt he? from charming those noona's out there to becoming a cradle snatcher. Ahh, this must be my favourite part of the whole ep. So so so so cute! Kids really seem to love him, whether its a boy or girl, dont they?

Back in the car
KHD: Tired, Seung Gi yah? Are you tired? Look at this then. (holds up LSGuen's 'nude' shot)
Everyone starts laughing.
EJW: Seung Gi yah, are you tired?
LSG: Yea, I'm tired.
EJW takes off his specs suddenly and makes a face that cracks up KHD and LSG totally. ahhh, our eun cho-ding is really so cute sometimes. KHD loves the face EJW makes so much that he asks him to pose for his camera, and keeps giggling at the picture he took saying that its really cute, even kissing it at a point, which really shocks EJW. Haha!
