We get a flashback of the past, and ...
They fight for their second item, the radish, and the PD tells them that the game will be flipping a coin, to which they win.
They continue with the bok bull bok game. The guys have won the radish, leeks and red pepper powder, and the next item they are fighting for is the chopped garlic. MCM volunteers himself for the next game.
MCM: I'll do this! No matter what I'll do this one!
PD tells them that the game to be played is 5 stones (throwing 5 'stones' and making sure you catch them all. Its a childhood game that we often play). MCM is delighted upon hearing this.
MCM: I'm good at this! I'm good at it!
KHD: Great great great! He's good at this! Great, great! Now, we'll have MC Mong!
MCM gets ready for the challenge, and KimC asks for the stones, presumably to test things out before MCM does anything. KHD joins in asking MCM to pass them the stones for a moment, while MCM is babbling to himself that he can do it for sure.
MCM: I can do it, I can do it...
KHD: I know that, now give it! (whacks hard on MCM's thighs)
Of course, MCM falls down in his typical wild monkey, exaggerated manner, and KHD laughs while asking for the stones. In the midst of all the confusion, Eun ChoDing surfaces and makes full use of the situation to deliver a few well aimed kicks at MCM. Its a hilarious scene! MCM then passes the stones to KHD, who explains with a demonstration that if any of the stones fall on the ground, then that's considered a fail. He asks MCM if he understands, and MCM told him nonchalantly that he does.
MCM then proceeds to demonstrate his skills at playing the 5 stones game, and boy, he sure is GOOD at it! Everyone is impressed by him and naturally they are delighted, with high hopes that they would win the game. MCM gets ready to play the game, and EJW casually comments that if they don't have the garlic MCM is going to be in trouble. MCM seems to hesitate for a moment, and he doesn't throw the stones. Everyone sighs in part frustration and worry that MCM will fail them. The wild monkey himself is pretty worried too, and the worry clearly showed through his face and words. He turns to KHD.
MCM: (If I lose) You aren't going to hit me right?
KHD: Hmm?
MCM: You're not going to hit me right?
KHD: Just do it!*
MCM: Promise that you won't hit me!
KHD: (If you lose) Just think that you are going to die!
[If he loses, he's in for it!]
*(notice onscreen, it says (일단) 해봐요! Its actually a play on KHD's words, KHD says just do it, but with the two words in the parenthesis added in, it actually means I'll do it later, meaning KHD will hit him after he loses. Not sure if KHD actually had the intention of the pun on words though, haha)
With KHD's 'gentle' threat, MCM has no choice but to go on ahead and play the game. At this juncture, he seems affected by KHD's threat and is really worried.
MCM: Wow~ I'm really nervous now...
LSGuen, KHD: Its ok, just do it calmly as you normally would...
KHD: You are not going to be held responsible, just do it calmly! Its not your responsibility, be calm!
MCM: Wow, I'm really very nervous... What should I do?
The guys hold their heads in unspoken worry
MCM: I'm just gonna do it.
KHD: Yes, yes, do it!
MCM tosses the stones and flips them ever so gracefully with a flick of his hand, and the stones fell back beautifully onto his palm like metal to a magnet. The guy is really good at this, I remember it took me really long to master this when I was young! Everyone is thrilled and starts jumping around in glee at MCM's feat. MCM starts praising himself in front of the camera again, and KHD sweeps him into a huge bear hug. The captions are really funny here [Now I'm not gonna hit you!] LOL!
Having won all 4 of the items up for challenge so far, they move on to the next item, the main star of their dinner, the fish. Its a huge one, and everyone cooed over it. The PD then asks them to choose their next player, and EJW is picked. PD then tells them that the ajumas (middle aged women) who work there are usually bored at night and often play go-stop to while their time away, and thus their next task would be to play a game of go-stop with the ajuma representative. Since EJW was picked as their representative, he'd have to play the game. Everyone is visibly shocked at this, including EJW.
KHD voices his concern about playing go-stop (the gambling part) on the program, and LSGuen reassures him.
LSGuen: My parents in Yang Pyeong, after they've finished all their farm work in winter, they'd play Go-Stop. They would also pool their loose change together and buy some delicious food to eat and play together. Its also good for preventing dementia. Its not something bad, but something that they family does together for fun.
KHD then decides its ok and brings in the ajuma for their own version of Tazza (gambling) on Waeyeondo. As the women make their appearance, KimC shows his sense of humour again.
KimC: Can I have a look at your arms? (runs his hands over the lady's arms) All right, she doesn't have any flower cards hidden up here...!
The ajuma bursts out laughing at that. They start the game proper, picking cards to decide who goes first, while EJW grumbles about MCM.
EJW: I seem to have no luck because of him.
MCM ignores him. EJW picks his card and gets an 8. The ajuma also picks her card, and LSGuen screams suddenly.
LSGuen: WAIT! (holds her hand) Are you going to fool around right from the start?! You took 3 cards!
Ajuma: No, but we do it like this around here...
Anyway, EJW gets to go first, and KHD lays down the ground rules. Whoever gets 7 points first will win the game (look at the Go Stop tutorial link at the end of my summary if you want to know how its calculated). LSGuen adds that if they get 7 points with a Wongo, they would get an extra pack of ramyeon. With that, they go on with the game. EJW gets a great start, and they guys start commenting that they should play for money (since the cards look great). PD tells them they're playing for the extra ramyeon already, so they won't be able to play with money. Ajuma deals her card, and there's a reversal of sorts, which throws everyone into a fit of panic. EJW however, looks delighted, and sticks a card (apparently his trump card for the moment) onto his forehead. He currently gets 2 points. The game fast forwards and we see a frustrated ajuma, as EJW continues his winning streak and accumulates 6 points. He decides to go, and a few moments later he gets a 2 go. Its at the crux of the game to decide who wins, and everyone is nervous. Ajuma draws a card, and the guys win. They let out a huge roar, which frustrates the ajuma to no end. She throws down the card in a small but cute fit. The guys count their points, and they win with 16 points to EJW. With the end of the game, the 3 ladies also leave the room. KHD and the guys thank the ladies as they take their leave, and shut the door behind them.
KHD: The lady seemed like she was really angry just now.
LSGuen reminds them that they should start calculating all their wins and keeping track of things. With the Go-Stop game, the guys have also earned and additional item, their all time favourite ramyeon.
As they round up the items they have earned, LSGuen suddenly remembers his poor dong-saeng who's still stuck on Nok-do.
LSGuen: Should we fetch (Seung Gi) now? We can go on the boat..
KHD: Go on the boat and get Seung Gi?
PD: Well, we can do it if all of you here want to.
KHD: That would be a waste then!
KImC: Why?
KHD: Taking the boat and going to and fro for Seung Gi... I don't wish to go on that journey!
Poor LSG. He's lonely and and jilted by his hyungs.
LSG: They just left me behind here, it's really too much. They're all dead, really!
Back at the house, the guys, or rather, MCM is cooking dinner. He seems like such a homely guy, always caring for the others and helping out with dinner.
EJW: There's too much water!
MCM ignores EJW and continues to ask his mom for cooking instructions on the phone, and hangs up shortly.
MCM: There's not even a person to make the food, and you're talking over there... (continues mumbling)
LSGuen: Haha.. he's nagging.
MCM: (throws down the cover) I'm angry... I won't do it...
He continues to mumble and grumble, hahaha. Guys are usually like this when they are forced to cook :D
LSGuen: Mong ah do you need help?
MCM: Su Guen hyung! Come help with the soup, where have you gone to now?
LSGuen: You do it! I've already boiled it!
KimC starts laughing at LSGuen's wisecrack. Finally the dishes are cooked, and the guys tuck in with great relish. The soup is really yummy, and KHD asks MCM a question.
KHD: Did you put the ramyeon soup base in?
MCM: No, I didn't even put in a packet of those!
LSGuen: Then this is chemical free.
MCM: Its absolutely a no go for me! My food will not contain (these chemicals). I won't drink ramen soup.
LSGuen: Then what's your secret method to get rid of the fishy stench?
MCM: I added in kanari, and soy sauce.
EJW: Wow, you couldn't drink kanari back then and now you are talking about it so well..
KHD: I think you can go open a restaurant! Isn't it?
The guys coin MCM's cooking as Mong Guemi, and they do a hilarious CF for it, with Mong Jang Guem (this is with reference to Dae Jang Guem) as the cook. The food does look really yummy! Well, after the feast, the guys have to settle the problem of sleeping.
KHD: PD, are we all going to sleep indoors today? Because its so cold..
PD: We were actually thinking of getting all of you to sleep outdoors once in winter.
LSGuen: What? Oh my god!
MCM: So 3 of us are going in the tent?
PD: Since Lee Seung Gi is already sleeping outdoors, we'll have two of you..
KHD: Two people, two people. Let's do it now. What should we do? Can we think of our game too?
PD: Oh well, of course, why not?
After some thought, they remember the blanket game that they played a few weeks back, and decide on it. KHD suggest that they should play scissors, paper and stone within the five f them, and the one who gets picked to be IT (the tagger for the blanket game) will have to sleep outside no matter what. Thus the person who gets to be IT will get to catch a guy to sleep outdoors with him. KHD also comes up with the brilliant idea that if a staff member is caught, the staff member will have to sleep outdoors too.
Everyone is nervous when they finally play the game to pick the tagger. KHD, LSGuen and MCM get through the first round, leaving the agonised EJW and KimC to battle it out. Round 2 of the game and KimC is picked to be the tagger, which automatically entitles him to sleep outdoors. KimC curls into a ball on the floor in anguish. He then gets ready to be the tagger, and KHD explains that they will be allowed to pivot around the point with their legs where they have chosen to hide in in the case the tagger comes near them, but if they move their legs, they will be out and chosen to sleep outdoors. With that, KimC begins counting down, and turns 5 rounds on the floor before going on his hunt. EJW tosses his jacket over to KHD's spot to lure KimC there, which earns him a fist from KHD. EJW throws another item out towards KHD and KHD returns the favour by throwing EJW's jacket back. KimC then goes in teh direction of EJW.
KimC: Oh, what's this?
Staff: Its a camera.
Everyone else tries to hold in their giggles. KHD is now perking precariously between the door and drawer, with LSGuen beside him near the fridge. MCM is hiding near the room door while EJW is holed up beside the staff member. KimC goes near the staff, waving his hand wildly, nearly tagging EJW, but missing him just by a bit to land his hands on the staff's head. This game is really exciting!
Staff: I'm a staff member.
KimC: Sorry.
EJW is delighted at the close shave, and LSGuen giggles at the comical sight. Meanwhile, KimC heads over to where MCM is, making LSGuen even happier, signing to KHD in his absolute joy. Just as KimC is getting dangerously near MCM, EJW lends a helping hand and claps. KimC is distracted by the sound.
KimC: Oh? Where is it now?
LSGuen lets out a cough, I think it was intentional, to mislead KimC.
KimC: Oh! That's Kang Ho Dong!
LSGuen tries again to distract KimC and looks to EJW for help. But EJW refuses to help him! :D In the end, LSGuen lets out a squeaking noise with his palm against the refrigerator as he tries to avoid KimC tagging him, which ultimately leads to his fate of sleeping outdoors. Such a big turn of events! This game is absolutely silly, but so crazily fun at the same time! I'm so playing this on my next MT when it comes :D
MCM: Wow, I was so nervous when he came to my side!
MCM: Mong ah, when he went over to you hyung helped you by clapping continuously!
LSGuen: Ah.. this is really ridiculous!
Hence, the final two picked for outdoors sleeping are LSGuen and KimC. After some more fooling around, the boys head outside to fish. EJW gets all excited and starts screaming for KHD when LSGuen catches a huge fish.
EJW:HoDong hyung! He caught one! Su Guen hyung!
They bring the fish in for KHD to admire (don't you love these sweet kids? They ALWAYS show KHD everything, and first :)) and KHD marvels at the enormous fish.
KHD: Its awfully big! How are we supposed to take this out?
KimC: Hey we can just eat this.
The woman (who lost the Go Stop game, haha) comes out to help them prepare the fish (yum, sashimi!)
KHD: Do you get such big ones often?
Woman: (in frustration) What do you mean by this is big!
KHD still gets his sashimi, which he proudly flaunts in front of the camera. His thought bubble shows us his wish for some mortal enjoyment.
[I wish there was a bottle of soju]
[So]
KHD: Let's do a simulation since we have nothing to drink! Have a glass!
[Acting like there's soju!]
KHD: Love shot~!
[Fresh sashimi, goes best with cho jang*!]
*this is apparently some kind of soy sauce mixed with vinegar and pine-nut meal.
KimC and KHD launch into playacting with their imaginary soju shots, while chowing down the glistening sashimi that was fresh out of the sea with lots of kimchi. KHD really loves raw fish. He even showed off his english with KimC to show his satisfaction, with a loud "unbelievable". Haha. I think that's the only english word KHD knows. They continue to act like there's plenty of alcohol available.
KHD: Hey hey hey, its spilling out.
Haha. Even KimC plays along this time. Are these guys really dads (to-be)? Meanwhile, LSGuen is amazed by the number of fishes they are catching.
LGGuen: Hahaha!! Mong caught one too!
MCM: AH!! Mine's big!
LSGuen catches another one. His reaction is ADORABLE, prancing around like a little kid excitedly. Who says LSGuen can't be cute?
LSGuen: Its not like as if I'm some kind of moving (fish) farm...
MCM: Oh, this one is big! Its big!
MCM gets a 일타이피, which basically means two in one go. He somehow manages to get two fishes using only one rod, and both fishes are quite big!
LSGuen: Is there someone diving down there?
He's indeed our resident comedian. MCM too, comments on their fishing streak, and we move back to the two indoors who are drunk on imaginary soju.
KHD: Drink more, you! Fill this to the brim!
LOL. I can't imagine if the guys really go drinking. KHD forces KimC into feeding each other with soju, and then asks for a kiss. As usual, KimC panics upon hearing the dreaded word bobo (kiss). KHD pretends to be devastated.
KHD: When you did the 'freeze-up'*, because of you, I cried so much! You've had a tough time. You even took off your clothes!
[KimC's nightmarish memory!]
*refers to the previous episode where KimC was forced to take off his clothes in a cardboard box in the freezing cold for a game.
KimC: Seung Gi, because of his image... due to my belly fats I couldn't take it off (? not sure what he's trying to say, but should be along the lines that he didn't want to show the world how skinny he is). If I took off my clothes... (wipes away his imaginary tear)
Flashback to the past. Its hilarious how they are digging up the past and making a big fuss out of it, 'drunkenly'.
KimC: I didn't get any presents from my fans for 4 years... but because I took it (his clothes) off, I got presents! Relief supplies! I got relief supplies (as presents)!
This is way too funny! The way KimC described his agony was simply too funny. KHD then tried to comfort him, saying that he was stripped down to leave only his loincloth (because he was a sirreum wrestler) in front of the cameras, with the entire nation watching.
[Even though he won in wrestling...]
[He was embarrassed by his (lack of) clothes...!]
KHD: Drinking all this alcohol makes me think of back then, there was one thing that could possibly happen that made me really nervous. When the athletes get to the wrestling ground, they would be without their loincloth. I was really nervous (and afraid) of that happening.
KimC nearly dissolves into giggles at hearing KHD's imagined fear. KHD goes on to share a little more about his sirreum experience.
KHD: There was once, in a match, when the score was 2:2. I was a match away from winning, and I'd be the strongest man on earth*. But I had no more strength... Pour me another cup!!
(*meaning champion, he used an idiom here)
KHD continues to moan over his loss after downing a one shot.
KHD: Now when I think back to then... I was just a match away from being the strongest!
What's done is done. They laugh, and MCM returns with his catch. Stepping in, he finds the guys in the middle of their play, and he starts acting like a drunk too. Both MCM and EJW join in the drinking, and MCM starts the ball rolling again.
MCM: KimC hyung! Tell us something sad!
KHD: Tell us something sad then.
KimC: Honestly, if you want me to say something, during the broadcast... Mong... was suddenly beaten...
MCM: You are right, hyung-nim!
KimC: I felt great through it!
MCM: Yah~~~ this is funny... Funny. Hyung, do you know how I feel? Do you know how I feel?
MCM starts screaming at KimC about how he he feels, and EJW gives him a knock on his head when the staff and KHD start the whole "hey your hyung is talking you know" routine.
[Your hyungs are talking!]
MCM: What's that for!
EJW: Wha..t?
MCM: Hyung what did you mean by that?
Again MCM starts yelling about how EJW is using their hyung-dongsaeng status to shut him up and stuff. Notice the whole exchange is really funny since MCM is speaking in sattori, which means a local dialect (actually KHD speaks with one throughout his drunk acting too). The funniest thing is that before he gets up, he says something I can't decipher, to which the screen flashes:

EJW gets exasperated, and stands up too. He starts beating up MCM, while KHD and KimC roll on the floor giggling madly. MCM decides to fight back, and throws his coat down, revealing the FUNNIEST and BEST clothes he's EVER worn on 1N2D. I used to think his green hoodie jacket that can be zipped all the way up to the head was the funniest thing ever. Well. Not anymore. This one takes the cake. He unzips the jacket with a skeleton drawn on to reveal another shirt with an IDENTICAL skeleton drawing. Everyone melts into a puddle of laughter, BUT! MCM takes off his pants to reveal another pair of matching skeleton long pants underneath! This is apparently his long johns, oh my goodness me. Everyone breaks out into uncontrollable guffaws, all red at the neck at this spectacularly hilarious sight. Eun Cho Ding KOs, and KHD declares that he gives up, leaving MCM to yell for another bottle of soju. KHD applauds MCM, who asks if its over, saying that he feels embarrassed. KHD asks where he got the clothes from (I wanna know too!), and MCM shows us the real wow factor of his jacket. Turns out that this one can be zipped all the way up too, completing the whole skeleton look! How cool is that?! He launches into his Rain Tears dance, which just totally KILLS KimC.
Amidst the fun and laughter, poor LSG zips himself into his sleeping bag and prepares to sleep alone. The other guys have had enough fun for the day, and KHD proceeds to chase the guys out for the night when the PD comes in.
PD: Thanks for your hard work today. Who's going into the tent tonight?
KimC and LSGuen
PD: Tomorrow morning, when you guys wake up, there'll be a mission for you. You'll have to wake up at 8.30am. When the morning song starts, you will also have to get out and start running to get breakfast. The main menu will be wild sea mussels. Here, have a look at it.
KHD: Wait a minute! Wow! Is it bigger because its wild?
PD is smart! He shows them the huge mussel to tempt the guys, so that they will wake up the next morning. Everyone marvels at the mussels, passing it around. They confirm with the PD that 2 of them are not going to get to eat, which leads them to worry about LSG again. Finally, we move on to find out how the poor boy's holding up.
LSG starts talking to the audience about his being left behind on Nok-do, and introduces us to his new found greatest mission.
LSG: Dear viewers,
My secret journey from Nok-do to Waeyeondo!
[Secret journey to Waeyeondo?]
[10 hours before]
LSG: Sir! By chance are there any... (his question gets cut off)
Guy: Tomorrow morning.. we are setting out at dawn
LSG: Can I by any chance take the boat at dawn?
Guy: Sure, its possible.
So LSG's here to check out if there's any way he can sneak onto the island where the guys are and he's really excited at the thought of being able to leave the island. Apparently he was planning to persuade the fisherman guy to send him to Waeyeondo, but the the fisherman guy tells him that they are going near Waeyeondo, and that freeze frame of LSG is just plain funny with the caps
Why, this is a piece of cake!!!
Naturally he asks the guy if he could hitch a ride to Waeyeondo the next day, and the writer and VJ chime in behind with their wishes that they MUST, PLEASE get onto the island the next day. The fisherman guy obliges, and LSG leaves the place the happiest boy ever. Back at his resting area, LSG tells us he's setting off at 3am in the morning, and asks the viewers to watch over him from that instant to the moment he lands on Waeyeogdo and films his 'interview'. Ah, such a cute guy.
Back at Waeyeondo however, everyone is asleep, no one even remotely interested in their magnae LSG. We are also given a glimpse into MCM's sleeping habits as he cuddles up to EJW and treats him as a personal bolster. No wonder these guys wake up a few times throughout the night, their sleeping habits are really... unique :D
Meanwhile in the dark of the night (or day), LSG gets ready to sneak onto the island.
LSG: Alright, finally! Nok-do yah, bye bye! Here's Nok-do's beautiful night scene. I have to complete my mission, so here's a little PR (public relations)! This is really a great place, everyone, please do visit Nok-do! Bye bye! Ah.. Its really a very lucky day today, it seems I won't get seasick too?
[A while later]
[Seasickness sets in]
LSG: I think I was overconfident! I'm a little seasick!
With that, LSG starts helping the guys on board with their fishing. The catch is huge, and they start shoving everything into the big baskets. LSG gives a little sigh, being worn out from the lack of sleep and rough waves.
LSG: Sigh~, my head hurts...!
Even so, the cutie manages to find joy in his suffering and strikes a few cute poses with the octopuses that they've caught. He even starts to make fun of his hyungs in his delight.
LSG: Oh, this one looks like HoDong hyung! Oh oh oh oh! (snaps up in shock)
[Shocked by the fish that looks like HoDong]
LSG: My seasickness just disappeared! HoDong hyung! HoDong hyung! (moves to another part of the ship) ENDURE! Arghhhhh!
Boy seems to be having lots of fun even when seasick! he even catches a crab, which slyly pinches his fingers. He flings the crab down in pain, only to scream a loud YAHHH! at the little mischievous crab. Never one to give up, LSG picks the crab up again and puts it in place.
I don't know about you!
With this, two hours flew by, and LSG reaches the island at last.
LSG: Was this place originally so bright with all the lights?
LSG nearly mistakes the lights for the lighting crew. But the fisherman guy tells him otherwise.
LSG: For a moment I thought, our staff knew we were coming back and were quietly preparing for us.
[But]
[The staff, his hyungs]
[are all asleep]
LSG thanks the fishermen and gets onshore.
LSG: Oh! What's this?
Guy: This is your allowance (pay)!
His pay comes in the form of assorted (raw) seafood. The fishermen are really kind! Our tired out LSG then carries out his long awaited arrival interview.
LSG: Alright now, finally! Finally! I'm here! Ah, applause! Let's move! But where are they? Where's our location?
VJ: Um, I don't know?
Scriptor: I don't know.
LSG: You don't know where it is? Really?
Scriptor: I didn't get a reply (from the rest).
LSG: Really?
[What's this again...]
LSG: Ah, I didn't think of where they're staying!
[It was so hard getting to Waeyeondo...]
[But he's alone in the place again!]
LSG: You really don't know? There's no place we can call?
There's no one they can call since this is supposed to be a secret trip. Inspiration suddenly hits LSG.
LSG: Should we go ask the moms there?
He runs over to ask the women working on the boats for information, and they help him of course. Luckily enough for LSG, the women actually know where the rest of the members are putting up at. He sets off to join the rest.
LSG: It seems like 1N2D team can't keep the place they are staying under wraps, doesn't it? The residents all know where we are!
Well, this IS one of the hottest varieties in Korea!
LSG: Wow, I'm really going to cry! This is so tough...
While on his way to meet his hyungs, Seung Gi runs into a sleeping Sang Guen first, and his joy at seeing a familiar face is overwhelming.
Sang Guen ah! Sang Guen ah, hyung's here! Sang Guen ah!
But Sang Guen is sleeping and has no energy to entertain LSG! Disappointed, LSG shuts the door behind him in a huff.
Psh! I've been snubbed by the dog!
We follow his sad figure as he continues his search for the base camp after being ignored by Sang Guen. He makes a huge discovery along the way.

He's finally found the place! LSG makes his way quietly in, carefully opening the sliding doors so as not to wake anyone up. One of the staff stirs and turns around in his sleep, and LSG immediately shrinks back. When everything settles and he confirms everyone is still asleep, LSG sneaks in quietly into the room. He pops his head into the room where the older guys are sleeping and no one stirs. Since there's no one for him to vent at, he turns to the camera.
I'm back here.
You let go of me and went off! You're all dead!!!
Finally, he heads off to visit the tent team who are sleeping in the wild. He starts head-counting, which leads to hilarious results.
[One guy... two guys...]
LSG: There aren't any other people besides the two here? Only two guys?
[There are 3 guys in the room+ 2 guys in the tent = 5 guys?]
But we originally had 6 people... AH! Me! Me...! I wasn't here!
[Huh-dang...]
[He's had a rough time]
[He postpones his revenge]
[And goes to sleep first!]
[He sleeps beside his hyungs]
As usual, there's plenty of snoring going on in the room, and our light sleeper Huh-dang is awakened by it.
[I'm going crazy.. What kind of sound is this again?]
[Now, this is a comforting sound next to his ears]
[Ah.. So I've made my way to my hyung's side]
[HoDong suddenly wakes and sits up]
[He wakes to go to the washroom but]
[He doesn't even know that Seung Gi has arrived...]

MCM: Oh? Seung Gi came, Seung Ji* ah! Seung Gi, Seung Gi came? Hmm hyung! Hmm... Aigoo Seung Gi yah, i really missed you!
LSG: You missed me?
MCM: Yea...
LSG: I'll listen to your afterthoughts a little later... They aren't in the least bit concerned, those over there.
MCM: Eh.. Seung Gi is here!!
LSG: Its alright hyung! Just sleep a little more.
(MCM pronounced LSG's name a little off with his morning voice. MCM is utterly adorable in the morning, so dazed!)
Morning comes and the guys are not awake yet, and we see LSG has hung his bag of pay outside KimC and LSGuen's tent. KHD snores deeply, while EJW gives off cute little snores (I didn't say this, the captions did! :D) The table is set for 3 with warm clam soup and side dishes, waiting for the early birds. Instead of the usual morning song, we have a guy counting down (in english!) to their big race for breakfast. Seung Gi stirs and soon the other guys are forced awake too. Looks like all the priming worked on MCM, he jumped up immediately, grabbed his coat and headed out in a flash. While he started out strolling leisurely, his competitive streak (or should we say survival instinct?) kicked in and he stared running. All this just for breakfast.
[Meanwhile]

EJW: Hyung, Seung Gi's here.
KHD: Seung Gi yah!
[He seemed shocked/scared]
[Am I dreaming or awake...]
LSG: What's going on? Why did you abandon me and leave!
KHD: How did you come?
LSG: I took a boat, boat.
EJW: Seung Gi yah~~~~
LSG: I took a boat at 3am and arrived at 6am. You didn't miss me at all i think, you didn't even make a call to me? How can you be like this?
EJW: I missed you, Seung Gi yah.
LSG: How could you be like this?
EJW: You're the precious baby of your hyung, do you know that?
LSG: Yea, this is great. I can't open my eyes, I couldn't even sleep...
At this juncture, KimC makes a sudden visit to the house, and LSG waves a lazy hello to him.
Oh, Kim C hyung!
[?]
[!]
[He's shocked into silence]
Nice to see you hyung...
[He immediately atones for his 'crime']
[Seung Gi, hyung has done you wrong...]
LSG: Hyung how could you do this?
KimC: You came back alive..
LSG: I thought I was dead. On the boat..
KimC: Your dark eye circles have gone all the way down!
Back at the tent, LSGune has just woken up and is preparing to race for breakfast. He is momentarily shocked at the bag that LSG hung outside their tent earlier. The guys in the house are still half awake until a female staff comes in to remind them of their race.
PD: Here, we need two of you to set off. There's already one (competitor) who's reached.
LSG: What's that?
KHD: Um, that's not important...
[He says its not important]
[But he prepares to leave?]
[KimC gets up fast too]
[This atmostphere is REALLY~ weird...]
[Seung Gi looks to have to set off no matter what]
KHD: Seung Gi! Seung Gi! You don't have to be concerned with this, Seung Gi yah!
[While KimC is searching for his clothes]
[Seung Gi quickly goes out]
[At the same time, Su Guen sets off too]
[Seung Gi is putting on his shoes]
[Runs away right under his nose, Lee Su Guen]
[As expected he doesn't realise its Seung Gi]
[And follows the scent of breakfast]
[The two set off at the same time]
KimC: You don't even know where it is! Hey to your right! Right!
[He also tries to obstruct Seung Gi]
[But Seung Gi finds his way well]
[KimC presses behind]
[And tries to catch up with all his might]

[Is like a bear woken up from his hibernation]
[While they are strolling]
[There's intense competition in the second place group]
[Mong, who's currently first, makes time for some sight seeing]
[And the group in second place gives chase]
[He starts running like like a madman!]
[Using all his strength, MC Mong]
KimC and LSG continue to compete against each other for breakfast, while LSGuen throws the towel in and asks the cameramen to confirm his suspicion.
LSGuen: That's Seung Gi isn't it? Am I the 4th then? Who's the first one there?
VJ: Mong
The bear family KHD and EJW continue to stroll along. As expected, MCM reaches the breakfast area first, earning himself the right to chow down the seafood soup prepared. LSG continues in second place, with KimC and LSGuen fighting closely for third place. KHD continues to stroll with EJW, pushing him in the wrong direction and heading off for the right one by himself. EJW is amused by this, seeing that his actions serve no purpose since the two of them aren't going to get any breakfast anyway.
EJW: HoDong hyung! Just continue to do this, you aren't going to get any breakfast to eat anyway!
Seung Gi then comes in second, not bad for a person who doesn't even now what he's supposed to compete for or where to go. 1N2D has really trained his survival instincts well! KimC is the third one to make it, and we have our breakfast entitled trio. LSGuen misses it by a bare bit, unfortunately. Our bear father and son continue with their morning exercise.

MCM: Hyung, come here!
LSGuen: Hey, Seung Gi when did you come?
LSG: 6am in the morning. I came by boat hitch hiking!
LSGuen may have been groaning away, but he's not forgetting about his favourite brother nonetheless.
LSGuen: This is hilarious, Seung Gi yah! What's happening? How did you come so early at dawn?
Well, he somehow did. With the arrival of the bear brothers, the family is now complete. LSGuen proceeds to ask KHD about LSG.
LSGuen: Hyung, did you know Seung Gi's back?
KHD ignores his question and takes the place of MCM and sits down, intending to stuff himself with the leftovers. Its heartwarming how LSGuen goes over to LSG at this point to give him a hug on the shoulders. The guys really do treat LSG like the precious baby of the group! Just look at all the hugs LSG got for making it back to the island, haha. LSGuen tries to sit on LSG's chair only to be pranked and have the seat pulled out from under him by EJW in his typical high school kid fashion. KHD helps himself to the food and EJW voices his dissatisfaction.
EJW: How can he be so thick skinned (brazen) and just help himself to the food? He was last!
KHD: Hey, its ok to eat the leftovers!
EJW: Even if its the leftovers, you can't eat it, because you were last!
LSG: Ah, he has no tears, no tears! Really.
[Just let me eat the leftovers...]
The guys continue to chastises KHD while KHD tries to earn brownie points with his pathetic about to burst into tears look. The guys burst out into laughter and EJW concedes defeat, asking KHD to go ahead and eat.
[If I don't eat and die what should we do...]
Typical KHD fashion indeed. After breakfast, the guys head off to scenic spot for a stroll and to chill out, seated on the rocks.
KimC: Sitting on the rocks, you even found a rock of your size to sit on..

Well, with all that, the guys head to a sandy field to exercise and stretch a little. JiWon and SuGuen decide to warm up with a little footwork, and Su Guen tells EJW that he must not let slip of the person (meaning that he has to follow the person closely]. Sure enough, EJW follows LSGuen closely enough, to the point of leaving the ball behind! Once again, EJW's skill in acting the fool is proven. Mong chooses to go hang out with the residents, and as usual there's food.
MCM: Aren't you going to give me one of those snacks?
Girl: (snatching the box away from another poor kid) Yea, I got it.
MCM: Oh thanks!
Girl: In this case, sing a song for me.
[A snack or a musician's pride...]
[Is evident immediately!]
MCM starts singing Circus immediately, in exchange for a snack, earning screams from the delighted girl. The six guys then line up again to do an opening, where they introduce us to some locals to play a ball game. I'm not sure what this ball game is called, but you get the gist when you watch them play. Basically they are supposed to keep the ball within the boundaries of the court with their head or legs, and any contact with the hands would be considered a point to the opponent. Pretty simple game. Interestingly, there's a young boy amongst the mostly middle aged men line up, but the guys decide its ok for the boy to join in the game. Its then decided that the game will be decided by 15 points, and hence they start the game.
As expected, the guys screw up on the first serve. The rules of the game are explained again, and they continue, this time with KimC up for the serve. The ball gets tossed around, and the 1N2D team loses another point to the locals when LSGuen drives the ball into the net instead of across the net. The squabbling starts.
MCM: Hey, don't come over to MY position!
EJW: But I went over to MY position!
Ah, those kids. KHD steps in to shut them up a little and KimC cuts in with a remark to pacify them.
KimC: Its always not the fault of you guys ok!
With that, KimC starts the game again, but this time, EJW's apparent lack of athletic skills kicks in. He swings his leg, only to miss the ball - BY A LOT! The ball went UNDER his legs instead of coming into contact with it. One by one the embarrassing mistakes start to surface. The locals serve, and LSGuen fails to catch it, citing the basketball hoop which was apparently in the way, that he would bang into the hoop if he tried to get the ball. The locals just look on in amusement at the guy's many excuses. KHD calls for time and instructs MCM to attack while EJW tosses the ball, together with a warning,
KHD: If you boys can't do it right this time, we're going to pull you out! Its your last time, understand? Mong ah, its your last try, understand?
With that, the game restarts. Score now is 2:6, in favour of the locals. LSGuen then yells at the youngest boy on the opposing team to to serve well to intimidate him. It doesn't work of course, and the team loses yet another point. MCM gets riled up and challenges the poor boy.
MCM: Hey you, come over here and try catching this... Catch IT!
[He really catches it...]
At any rate, the boy serves again, and MCM catches it beautifully with a header. Unfortunately that was followed up by a kick from EJW. As usual, his feet didn't even make contact with the ball at all, and that's another point lost. LSG and KHD ended up taking over, with an aggrieved trying to argue his case. KHD himself hams it up with mistakes, his header sending the ball to hit the basketball hoop, losing yet another point. He gets a little pissed off at the young boy.
KHD: Hey, are you going to keep sending your passes to the sides of the basketball hoop? Do you want to get it (from me)?
They threaten the boy again, but in the end KHD loses another point when he kicks the ball out of the court, not once but twice. However, he regains his footing a while later, scoring two points in a row. Score is now 4:11, still in favour of the locals. The game continues and they lose another point to the locals because KimC shouted and signaled the ball as his, but failed to get it over the net. KimC decides that this can't go on for long and takes KHD to the side for some scheming. KHD calls for time.
KHD: Can the students play in the game here?
They call the boy over.
LSGuen: Village chief, you should join in the game!
They protest that the boy is a student and too young, thus the game is unfair, and that the village chief should join in instead. Their plot works, and the poor boy gets pulled out of the game for no real reason.
LSGuen: Hey rascal, go home quick!
KHD: Go home and do your homework!
With the athletic young boy out of the way, the team gains their point against the locals with the village chief's entrance. The captions says it all.
[He's a huh-dang, starting from the serve!]
The team continues to breeze through the game, earning points by attacking the local team's new weakness, the chief. In no time, the guys have caught up and lag behind by a point, with the locals at game point. However, KHD ruins their chances by shouting mine, confusing LSG but ending up not intercepting the ball! The locals are delighted of course. KHD goes up to the chief to ask him about what he thinks of the 1N2D team's skills in the game. The chief replies honestly that they have no skill at all, earning him an immediate protest from EJW, saying that he shouldn't say such things. The 1N2D then congratulate the locals on their win, and we end the episode with some comments to out a smile on everyone's face.

My thoughts:
This was yet another great episode for me. Everything came together very well, and there were plenty of funny moments, with the LSG abandonment case working really well to create lots of surprises and laughs. I'm really glad to see all the members grow for the better, and even happier to see their concern for each other. It was nice that they immediately showed concern for LSG when they saw him, which just goes to show that they haven't forgotten that they've left him behind on Nok-do. Honestly speaking, in the very early pioneer episodes of 1N2D, I was quite disturbed by the fact that some members seemed to be quieter, overshadowed by the others, and their significantly diminished airtime was proof of it. This episode, for me, showed exactly how far all the members have come from those days. Everyone's character was unique, and they meshed together really well, no one overshadowing the other. Even the normally calm KimC produced many side splitting moments here. There's a certain sincerity, a special bond about this program that I haven't been able to find elsewhere in other programs. The way the guys play, how they interact with the locals, their bond with the crew and staff, their zest for making things fun... all draws me back to the show again and again. I guess its just the heart of the show :)
At any rate, I'm dedicating my translations this week to deemei and B unnie. Thanks to deemei for her generosity and kindness, and B unnie for her unending support when it comes to 1N2D. Sometimes its hard to get started on the summary especially since the episodes tend to be so long and I'm a perfectionist when it comes to 1N2D, but seeing B unnie's work on the blog and her zest in subbing as well as uploading onto the streaming websites, I find motivation to continue with what I'm doing. In watching the show, I've come to find my own sense of belonging to the wonderful subbing team. Fighting!~ And of course to the dear people who are hooked on the show, you are the thing that keeps everyone's efforts here alive! <3

I've watched this week's episode. Won't have the time to translate everything, my apologies. Exams are really bogging me down. Just going to do a simple recap and translations of funnier parts. I don't want to fan the whole baseball incident any further (I've had quite enough of the whole issue), but as a note, I think the 1N2D team has managed to convey their side of the story to us quite effectively. Given the circumstances, I think it would be hard to pinpoint any one party to be at fault for the whole brouhaha that broke out. A crowd is always hard to please, what's more with a huge crowd hyped up about a sport. A lot of people had fun, some people were unhappy that things weren't going so well, different tv stations chose to portray different sides to the issue... we'll just have to accept that things are always a mixed basket of blessings. So let's just have fun watching the episode! 1박~~2일~~~!!
This week, the guys arrive in Busan, and they introduce us to some of the things Busan is famed for, such as Haeundae, Guanganri and movies, and KHD starts talking a little about (what else?) food. They then move on to the itinerary for the day, the Busan package that has been prepared for them. They will get the cheapest accomodation, which is a homestay at SongJeong at 8,000 won a head (apparently its the price of 2 bowls of Jajjangmyeon). KHD explains the low price is due to this period being the slack season, so prices have been driven so low. They also get concession passes for the subway, which costs 3,500 won for a whole day, where they get unlimited rides on the subway. LSG calculates that with accommodation and transport accounted for, the trip would cost 11,500 won. Their guide for the day will be the youngest PD (er, the one who got pranked by KHD), who was born in Busan.
EJW: You were born in Busan? I thought you were born in Japan...
LOL. Ok, so they think the PD looks Japanese. Next they go on to the highlight of the day which (we all already know) is the baseball game. They will spend 7,000 won on a general admission seat. The match for the day is Lotte vs Doosan, and EJW muses about how a Doosan fan wouldn't be able to go with them (since I think they are supposed to be rooting for the Lotte team). Kim C is startled at what EJW says, and mistakes EJW for a Doosan fan, to which he asks KHD what to do about EJW.
KimC: He's a Doosan fan.
EJW: Its LOTTE! Why are you like this?
KimC: But you were talking about the Doosan team!
The two of them start squabbling.
KimC: Look, you keep wearing the Doosan cap..
EJW: I WORE THE LOTTE ONE WHEN WE WENT BAEKDUSAN!
Interesting thing to note here is that when the camera shifts to LSGuen here, you can see his cap clearly, and on the cap its written 돼지. Which means pig. LOL! They move on to look at what they'll be doing for the next day and everyone groans, because they have to take a boat again. What's even worse is that the time for them to wake up has been set at 4am! PD then tells them that they get 10,000 won as travelling allowance today (WOW! What's up with the sudden generosity?) The PD explains that this is to allow them to choose whether they want to take the taxi, bus or subway. Its decided that they should split into teams of 3 each, so LSG, LSGuen, EJW take the bus while KHD, KimC, MCM take the subway.
LSG, LSGuen, EJW meet someone (i think he's a driver) on the way to take their double decker bus. The guy tells them he's just watched them on TV the day before.
LSGuen: You don't know all our names right?
Guy: You're Lee Su Guen. (looks at EJW and LSG, whose names he obviously doesn't remember) There are 6 of you...
LSGuen: Yea, there's KHD and MCM.
Guy: (points to EJW) But he's not KHD!
:D Funny. Meanwhile KHD, KimC, MCM take the subway, where they are greeted by excited young people. Their reaction was really funny "WOW! KANG HO DONG!" But then again its probably not everyday you see a celeb on the subway. KHD takes a seat with the ajummas and asks one of them to introduce what's she's proud of in Busan. She tells us the place is fun, there's good food, beautiful beaches and great people and invites everyone to come over for a visit. Meanwhile MCM makes his move on the younger people in the train. He asks the girl if she watches 1N2D regularly. Girl says yes. He asks who she likes the most. She replies MCM. MCM is of course very happy and says she's a girl with feel (LOL). After which he comments "You should take a picture (of me)" and the girl happily whips out her phone to start snapping. Don't you just love cameraphones? I think they are the greatest invention of the century. I sure can't live without mine. Its phototime with MCM and they snap away. MCM even does a sel-ca (Koreans affectionately refer to taking self portraits as sel-ca) with the girl. Gosh, her expression was priceless.
On the double decker, the guys are excited because its the first time they are taking a bus like this.
LSGuen: Dae Ju yah (the youngest writer), why did you come here and not go with HoDong hyung?
DJ: I'm looking for new means of making a living too.. (LOL!!!!!!)
The guys proceed on to be amazed by the sun roof on the double decker bus. They are really comfortable, and EJW mentions how he cannot understand why KHD has given up such comfort to take the subway. The camera then brings us back to KHD and guys on the subway. KHD is talking to some girl about liking some attraction in Busan and she says "Yea, its totally the best" and as KHD is moving on to the next topic, she grabs his arm and goes "Oooh! I really like (you)!!" KHD turns back to look at her and she's embarrassed. Haha, talk about fangirling. The ajummas in the background then go on to say how KHD looks slimmer and better in person than on TV. KHD is obviously happy and starts bragging. Not only that, he gets the ajummas to tell everyone on national tv how its true that he looks really good in person.
MCM: Why are you forcing them!
Ajumma no 1: Everyone, KHD is really slim in real life.
Ajumma no 2: Really, when you see him on TV he looks plump, but when you see him in reality, he's a handsome man (actually what she says is closer to pretty boy), slim, a dandy boy!
Some other well dressed ajumma jumps in to confirm that KHD looks more handsome in real life, and KHD tells her that she looks really pretty now, but when she comes out on tv it would be a different matter. The well dressed ajumma goes on to say how she really likes the 6 members on 1N2D, and KHD goes over to give her a bear hug. MCM gets jealous and whines about how he wants a hug too and KimC pushes him down.
We get back to the LSG team. They're totally enjoying the view outside, and they reach the beach. At this time, KHD and people also reach Haeundae station and they get off the subway. LSG and people then wait for KHD and gang to reach the beach, and they hole up in a tiny corner while waiting. LSGuen notices a group of female students and asks them over. There's a lot of excited squealing going on of course, and the first student heads directly for (who else?) but our LSG. Girl says she feels an onset of goosebumps (actually she says something like she's getting the creeps, but in a positive way). The girls stand in a line amidst the guys, and one of them suddenly squeals "OHH!! PD!! WOW!!" and the three of them start screaming in unison. LSGuen and LSG chuckle at their reactions, while PD Yoo is really embarrassed. LSG mentions how it feels strange that even the PD is recognized these days, while LSGuen asks the girls on their opinions on which country they think PD Yoo looks like he's from. They answer "Japan!" Captions [No matter how popular he is, he still looks Japanese] I laughed myself silly when the girls went crazy over PD Yoo. Gosh, I love this show.
KHD and gang are still stuck at the subway, where they meet an old granny (KHD seems to have a soft spot for the elderly, especially elderly women). The granny goes up to KHD, and they start talking. KHD asks the granny if she's watched 1N2D, and she says she a fan. He asks her where they've been to for trips on the show and the granny gives a very confused answer, saying she doesn't really know (can't blame her, she's old!). She then tells KHD she's headed for the baseball match. Granny here is a total fan of baseball and the Lotte team too, and is going there on her own. When KHD asks her if she thinks Lotte will win, she says they will definitely win if she goes. KHD gets her to cheer for 1N2D, which is pretty funny, especially when she picks on her own pose, and feels that she's done the sign for 2 days wrongly. Cute granny. KHD tells her he'll see her in the baseball stadium later, to which she asks "But did only the two (MCM, KHD) of you come?"
KHD: No, KimC is here too.
Granny: There's the one (person) that I like the best...
KHD: Who? Who? What's his name?
Granny: I don't know his name.
KHD: Is it this person (MCM)?
Granny: I know this person, its not this person.
MCM: Its not this person too (KimC)?
Granny: Its not this person.
KHD: Its not this person? Then... Lee Seung Gi?

KHD: Why do you like LSG?
Granny: I don't know... I just like LSG and KHD the best! Where did Lee Seung Gi go?
KHD: LSG is taking a bus now.
MCM gets jealous at the side, LOL. LSG is really popular :D On the beach, EJW is eating babingsoo, a kind of cold korean desert (its yummy!) and apparently gets a headache due to the coldness. MCM and KimC runs over to join the gang, while KHD gets his self esteem boosted asking the crowd some questions.
KHD: Everyone, when you look at KHD in realy life, is he fat or slim?
Crowd: SLIM!
KHD: Is he handsome in real life?
Crowd: HANDSOME!
KHD: Is my face big or small?
Crowd: SMALL!
KHD: Is Jang Dong Gun more handsome or me?
Crowd: JANG DONG GUN!
KHD then walks away. The boys have some fun on the beach, and they head back to their base camp to have some jajjangmyeon. LSG is late again in joining them for the meal because he went to wash up (as usual. His cleanliness is adorable). After the meal, they start preparing for their performance. First they have to decide on a song to use. They decide to use a new song instead of MuJuGeon, as well as think of new dance steps instead of simply copying the moves they've come up with previously on MuJoGeon. They get into a discussion about choice of songs and several options are considered. Funny moment when LSG suggests hand in hand (the 1988 Olympic theme song) and KHD shoots him a look like he's gone insane. Its finally decided that they should use Champion as their song, and KHD goes on to ask them which teams they support. LSG is for LG Twins, LSGuen Doosan Bears, KimC doesn't have a team he supports, EJW Doosan Bears, and MCM supports Doosan Bears also. They decide to split the teams as such (Doosan bears vs Lotte team) for their Bok Bul Bok games later, to decide on who sleeps outdoors and who wakes up early to take the boat. The cheering they come up with is hilarious, with the Doosan Bears team coming up with a growl as their cheer. They then start preparing for the performance seriously, coming up with dance moves. They manage to come up with something halfway decent, and off they head to the stadium for some baseball action.
At the stadium, they are awed by the sheer number of people of there bursting with enthusiasm for the game. The people are really funny, we have a couple of women yelling Seung Gi Yah, Mong ah the 1N2D style. One of the women go a step further and screams EUN CHO DING!! LOL. The granny KHD met earlier makes her reappearance, and goes up to grab LSG's hands :) She also goes to EJW, and says that they're all like her grandsons. But granny still likes LSG the best and gets him to sign on a baseball for her. From the looks of it, the audience were actually allowed to come pretty near the guys. Anyway, the guys just start watching all the pre game activities and they were really amused by the university performers, who were really into what they were doing. They start feeling a little threatened by the enthusiasm of the performances they've seen. The staff comes up to them and asks for 2 people to volunteer as ballboy and batboy. LSG jumps at the chance, and EJW asks to be batboy. So off the two of them go, with EJW dancing along the way.
VJ: Why on earth is EJW behaving like this?
LSG: Its the first time we're in a baseball stadium, that's why.
Meanwhile, the rest of the gang eat snacks at the stands while EJW and LSG get ready. LSG asks if anything big will happen if they make a mistake. The guy tells them the things they have to take note of because the players have to concentrate on their game.
LSG: Then can I get their signatures after the game?
EJW: OF COURSE! What's wrong with you.. Do you sign for people in the middle of singing your song?
LSG: No I don't. Hyung, your analogy is so appropriate.
Off they go outdoors, where they meet Kang Min Ho, one of the key players. The guy actually did a Dooly face when he greeted EJW, its so funny! The guy told them he watches 1N2D a lot too. They then sit on the benches with the mascot, and LSG asks the mascot if he's a guy or girl, to which he rolls up this pants as an answer :) after that, its mostly just the baseball game, and we also see LSG and EJW getting their 2 seconds of action as they run out onto the field. The VJ asks LSG about his feelings.
LSG: I'm so nervous, its really no joke! The umpire is really very scary!
EJW: Scary, scary!
LSG: Really, he's scary! For us its just a one off thing, but for them its really important, so I feel really nervous. (to the VJ) huh? This is a live program now? Us?
LOL. Huh-dang moment AGAIN. The crowd then starts chanting for MCM, and their images are projected onto the screen.
LSG: Is that our 1N2D members there? Our members?
The break soon approaches and our members get up to get ready. LSG and EJW return indoors, and one of the writers starts asking them questions.
Writer: Is it very tiring? You seem to have sweat a lot.
LSG: Ah, it was really nerve wrecking because of the teacher umpire (he called the umpire songsaengnim, which means teacher)
The members then gather and practice their dance again. From what the PD tells the guys, it seems he's contacted the PD in charge of the live screening of the baseball match for the necessary arrangements, so its not like they went in there totally spur of moment. Anyway, out they went into the field and the crowd went wild. Things weren't too hot for the 1N2D team though. First, the music didn't start on time. Fortunately, the music finally started and the boys sprung into action. But. But. But. The song that was played was the wrong one. The guys were also supposed to do a rap, but their voices got completely drowned out by the crowd. The guys had no choice but to continue anyway. EJW did his hiphop routine. Boy, I'm so used to his Eun Cho Ding image that I've completely forgotten that the guy is quite decent when it comes to dancing. LSGuen does his usual funny dance, and KimC comes out with a dance that made the Lotte team go OMG! Haha. MCM did something slightly similar to his Circus dance, while LSG did his bounce+ballerina act. KHD also churned out a hilarious dance, and that's supposed to be the end. KHD says a few words of thanks to the crowd and they are supposed to go off. But at this moment, the crowd starts chanting something. Yes, they started chanting MuJoGeon. And the chants just got louder and louder. It was so loud that I couldn't even hear what KHD was trying to say in response to that in the video. Everyone in the team is shocked when they hear the loud chanting, and even KHD looks at a loss as to what to do. They can't really remember the dance steps, and the pressure from the crowd is just insane. The entire crowd just starts singing the song, and the members decide to just go with the flow and join in. Seeing that, I don't see how they can be blamed for performing the song (which supposedly was another rival team's song) when the crowd themselves were pushing for it. But poor KimC. He looked totally lost. Its quite unfair to him, seeing that he wasn't there for the competition back then and really probably doesn't know the dance steps. Suddenly the song starts playing, and the crowd goes wild again, with the guys doing their bit and dancing. With that, the guys run off the field with the crowd cheering loudly. When the guys reach indoors, they're just amazed by what has happened. LSG and LSGuen keep saying that the crowd was just amazing and their minds were really in a blank, and LSGuen mentioned how even KHD was at a loss, when he usually would be in control. The guys end with their heartfelt thanks, and that's it for this week!Labels: 1박2일

Still busy studying. Will try to update more after my exams. This is from what I've done on soompi.
We start again this week with a recap of last week's happenings.
Now that the first team's performance is over, we have the second team coming in for their performance. Funny moment when KHD is introducing the second team's members and deliberately changes their names Kim Su Guen, NG Mong and Lee C. The second team runs in and presents gifts to the audience before performing, and LSGuen continues with his funny dance for too long.
KimC: SuGuen ah! Come back, come back! (LSGuen snaps out of his dance) Ready!
They start their show. MCM as grandpa, LSGuen as grandma and KimC as the background music. They start a hilarious skit, with the two mumbling all sorts of funny stuff.
MCM: This body is old~ Should consider eating some tonics~
LSGuen Captions [You're gonna eat everything all by yourself??]
LSGuen: What about ME? ME?? If you take everything then what's for me? You rascal! *slaps*
Oh, that was BRILLIANT. The slapping accompanied by the guitar. These guys really know how to make things look funny!
MCM: Let's change (roles)!
LSGuen: Change (roles)?
MCM: I'm the granny! Granny!
LSGuen: I'm the gramps, gramps!
[They switch in 5 seconds!]
They start singing again, and i think MCM screams something husband. Or it could be old man. Not too sure. Anyway, LSGuen responds the exact same way he did earlier and slaps MCM. LOL. KHD then cuts in, laughing loudly and his captions say [That's weak! That's weak!] With that, the two teams end their performances. KHD tells the audience that they will pass out pieces of paper with KHD and LSGuen's name on it, and they are to mark the team they like with an O. The winning team gets to sleep indoors while the losing team heads for the wilderness amongst the lettuces. Another spot of humour here when KHD re-introduces the two teams and pretends he doesn't know the names of 3 in the other teams, leading to a few moments of awkward silence. The pieces of paper are passed around by the boys.
KHD: Please save me!
LSG also goes around with the voting slips, which ensured a few delighted shrieks from the women of course. Captions made me laugh. [Seung Gi's beauty trap?] Meanwhile KHD makes a move on the cute toddler, who doesn't seem too interested in him. All the same, KHD is happy playing with the toddler.
The moment of intense stress then comes with the counting of votes. No one wants sleep amongst the lettuces since it's madly cold out there in the night (as the plot owner already told them last episode) and they have to sleep WITHOUT a tent. Again, we have KHD introducing the situation to the viewers, about how the votes have been gathered and stuff, but the other boys don't care. They just kept stuffing themselves with the food on the table biggrin.gif Aww, LSG was trying to finish up those watermelons, haha. KHD caught sight of the boys pigging out and sighed.
KHD: Sigh... My heart hurts!
KimC: Just let the kids eat before going...
KHD: Ok, there should be a total of 24 votes in all. We're going to look at the votes one by one now. Which of the team performance did everyone like the best? We'll count the votes and find out now.
PD: Ok, I'm going to read out the votes one by one to you. Now, first vote. Kang Ho Dong 1 vote!
The guys are hyped up and sit together closely holding hands. The PD continues to announce the votes to them. It was really tense, and we saw a banjun (banjun is reversal in korean) of sorts when LSGuen's team went from 2 votes to match and even up to KHD team's 6 votes. Things get even more nerve wrecking from then on, with each team matching vote for vote as the counting went on.
EJW: This is unbelievable, what's this?!
I agree with him. Just so you guys know, the PDs didn't mess around with the votes to make the situation so tense, it was all coincidental (I choose to believe the PDs). KHD calls for time out at 10:9, with 5 votes remaining, and the guys are a pile of nervous wrecks, all afraid that they'd be the ones sleeping outside. At 11:10, the PD prepares to open another vote.
PD: Oh! This! We'll reserve this vote for later.
The guys protest, but the PD insists that there's a reason for it, and reassures the guys that he'll open that particular vote last.
KHD: Really, you haven't messed around with the votes have you?
PD: I'm seeing this with you guys now too!
KHD: The KBS team swears this on their conscience?
PD: Yes, on our conscience.
LSG: Wow, this is really something. Hyung it seems this always happens?
The vote is read out and its 11 all. The last vote (not counting the one taken out by the PD earlier) is read out, and it goes to KHD, and they are really upbeat since the guys have effectively won the battle. If the vote that the PD took out goes to LSGuen, they tie. If it goes to KHD they win. If the vote went to both teams KHD still wins.
PD: Now I'll show you the last problematic vote. Let's have MC Mong reveal the vote. Show it to the camera.
We finally get to know what's wrong with the vote. The voters were supposed to mark their vote with an O. But this voter decided to do things his own way and marked his vote with an X. (By the way, Koreans generally go with the O and X system for yes or no. So the problem here is that they don't know if the X means no, or whether it just means the vote goes to KHD)
Of course the other team protests and insists that they've tied.
KHD: Does an X mean that he doesn't like us?
LSGuen: No, it doesn't mean he doesn't like, the X means that its NOT this team! (He means) Its NOT KANG HO DONG!
They get into a heated argument over the meaning of the O and X.
LSGuen: No, what the person was thinking was that 'Ah, Kang Ho Dong, this person is really (gestures a big cross) not the one!' Its like this!!
KimC: You can't possibly use an X if you like the person!
LOL. They continue to quarrel over this and team KHD's brain LSG steps out to argue for their stand. He says something wrongly though, and KHD pulls him back to stop him from going on. LSG protests and asks for a final chance at finishing up his debate which earns him a mock chop in his neck from KHD. MCM tries to argue that since KHD's name was crossed, he should head for the hills with LSGuen's team too. LSG argues in his defence.
LSG: Ok, let's just take it as the voter disliked (KHD) and marked it as an X. We acknowledge that X means the person didn't like the subject, but should that be counted? That's a null vote! (since the voter didn't follow instructions)
Team LSGuen have no choice but to accept the results, and head for the wild to sleep.
KHD and LSGuen then get voted into waking up early to pick up a couple of the locals to go to the lettuce patch the next morning, After that, we see that it rained while the guys are sleeping outside and they are woken up to move into the tents. The next morning the guys just go out into the patch to get some work done, while KimC and MCM whip up a meal for them. Funny moment when this old lady fails to recognise MCM. Cant' really remember much of the episode now offhand now.
I picked out some of the more exciting (IMHO) and interesting interview conversations as well as unseen footage to translate from the Chuseok special. Thought it was pretty well done, even though I'd have loved to hear things from KimC and EJW's perspective. For some odd reason they weren't interviewed. Schedule clashes I guess. It would also have been much better if they had shown less of the original episode and more of the BTS though. But I really have to give credit to these editors. 400 tapes of raw footage, which would translate to at least 400 hours, if not more, of videos to go through before editing, captioning, doing the on-screen effects and the background music. Kudos to them. They're amazing.
Early on in the video, the interviewer asked MCM "At which point of the trip was it the toughest?" and MCM's reply was "Is that a question you are asking me now? 4 nights 5 days was tough, coming back was tough too." Just goes to show how draining the trip was for the 6 guys.
LSG 's view on the boat trip
LSG: To me, that wasn't a boat (uh, ship would be more appropriate I guess), it was like a hotel. Because it was so comfortable on the boat (ship), I have no memories of suffering on the boat trip.
After that, they he washed up with EJW, and they had a conversation about their complexions (I think) and how the trip's wreaked havoc on it. Funny moment when EJW says "When you look at me at night, you can only see my eyes". He isn't that dark is he?
Then comes a LSG Huh-dang moment. He exits the washroom, only to have EJW scream for him a few minutes later.
EJW: Oh? YAH! SEUNG GI YAH! SEUNG GI YAH!
LSG: Yea?
EJW: SHAMPOO!
LSG reenters.
LSG: Hyung, but you have no hair to shampoo! Hyung you wash (shampoo) your hair?
EJW: Of course!
LSG: I thought people with very short hair don't wash (shampoo) their hair.
LOL. Then EJW pops his head under the hand dryer to dry his hair. These guys. They always do all sorts of non-conventional stuff.
When they arrive at the ferry terminal, LSGuen mentions how he misses his wife. Which immediately prompts LSG to say he misses his puppy, thus we have that cut of Sang Guen, with the captions "...Me?" That was really a cute one.
They then get on the bus, where MCM tries out his cellphone's roaming service and calls back home. Initially he just couldn't get it to work, but he eventually figured the problem out and passed on the info to LSG. LSG then calls his sister.
LSG: Hello? Soo Yeon? Are you home? Ah, oppa's in China now. We can see the North Korean territory from here.
Captions go [He calls his sister to brag] LOL!!
Anyway, LSG+MCM+KimC decide to get off the bus and walk a little so that they get at least a little stretch, and we see LSG stopping dead in his tracks suddenly just to say "The bus is coming". The guys ask him how he knows that and he says he heard the bus. The others refute his statement saying that he's just hearing his own footsteps. Turns out LSG was right, his hearing is quite sharp! The episode continues with the whole LSG scare fest thing, with LSG laughing sheepishly during his interview. Turns out that the guys were allowed to get off the bus to wash up and stuff.
EJW very aptly described his feelings while brushing his teeth. LOL he seems to have lots to say when he brushes his teeth.
EJW: I have no memory of the boat trip! We just took a bus from Seoul to China! I have no memory of the boat trip. Why did we take the bus?
The staff were all tired out, and many of them expressed their wish to go home. KimC talked about how it was really tiring and he doesnt see how they're gonna make it to Baekdusan, while Dae Ju was going on about how the bus trip is really the toughest part. Meanwhile we have LSG doing his self talk again, brainwashing himself into believing that he's not tired. LOL
Fast forward to the part where LSG talks about the climb (I'm sorry, I'm skimming through the videos as I watch too. I'll do a more detailed one when I get the time) He apparently had 3 big worries, which he revealed to the interviewer.
1. Would they really be able to complete the climb?
2. Would they really be able to see Heaven's lake?
3. I HAVE to be the first to reach the top!
He's competitive! Like really. So cute.

LSG: His shorts were like hot pants! ...
Its then revealed through the convo the PD and EJW had that its EJW's first time on a mountain trip. The PD was like flabberghasted at that, while EJW was going "My first mountain trip, BAEKDUSAN!"Labels: 1박2일

All right, since I have a 4 hour break in school, I figure I might as well start translating some stuff. Boy, this week's episode is long! And there are lots of LSG cute moments. I think almost everyone should know by now that KBS has gotten their hands on our lovely heather's youtube channel. That really sucks. Her video quality was one of the better ones on youtube and the entire channel was devoted to 1N2D. I'm grieving for everything lost already. to those who upload videos for our enjoyment, i really salute what you guys do for us.
We start this week's episode with a recap of the opening from last week. You have to really admit that HyunSuk (MCM's manager) can really pull off a mean KHD imitation. But of course he doesn't hype up the atmosphere half as well as KHD does.
[1am, KBS]
LSG: Are we really going to set off like this?
MCM: Of course!
EJW: Ahh! Its raining.
LSG: Ah, when we are in our formal wear!
Ahh. But the weather isnt going to let up just because you are in formal wear, haha
KimC: No, but we are in our formal wear! where are we going in our formal wear?
LSG: Are we going on an island?
Someone in the background says: We'll take a boat?
EJW: We are going to an island? Doesn't that mean we are going to take a boat? Right?
LSG: What are we taking there? PD, what are we taking there?
I notice that LSG is quite student-like in his actions. Usually when he has a question to ask, he'll raise his hands, just like a student
PD: If everyone here adamantly insists on going your separate ways, we've prepared 2 cars for you here. We have here a bus and a car. So KHD and all of you here will have to settle the problem of who takes which car.
EJW: Eh? Who?
PD: KHD-sshi. You have to settle it with him.
[They have to meet HoDong whom they dislike] ---> LOL!!
KHD: Friendship? Us? (makes a face, haha!) I'm not doing that!
[HoDong is now]
[Sulky and tired]
KimC: Let's meet him and see how things go first.
EJW: But the person in question himself doesn't want to meet us, it's HoDong hyung.
LSG: Because we have our own pride too, we can't just send one person over (to talk to KHD).
PD: Then just call for him. HoDong-sshi.
Notice here, they switch from calling KHD hyung (brother) to calling him HoDong-sshi (which is kind of like Mr HoDong). Its more formal, and it made the whole thing really funny, since they looked like a bunch of really well dressed punks trying to pick on their target.
EJW: Even if we call him he won't reply! HODONG-SSHI!!!
MCM: If we call him and he doesn't reply then we'll just go, ok?
TGT: One, two, three! HODONG-SSHI!!
KHD: (triumphantly) Hahahaha! Now? Now it's come? (as in like now they're calling for me?)
[But he LOVES IT TO DEATH]
LSG: (We have to make it seem like) We have no choice and just have to go off first! (let's call for him a ) Last time!
TGT: One, two, three! HODONG-SSHI!!
KHD: SO NOISY! YOU RASCALS!
The guys get really excited at KHD's (haha, unfriendly) answer and make it seem like its not their fault, its KHD's fault for being unfriendly. LOL.
LSG: This is not progressing. Let's take some countermeasures. Really, even though we keep going HyunSuk hyung HyunSuk hyung, but we have to get one of us to go over (to KHD). Leader. SuGuen hyung.
[Nominate SuGuen?]
MCM: For me, really, I nominate SuGuen hyung-nim. (nim is an honorific form) During this period of time, our SuGuen hyung-nim has really been mistreated by KHD. It was really painful...
LSGuen: (cutting in) I dont even have anything to say to that person. Nothing to say at all. Its just like that. To me he's like a stranger.
MCM: You can't do this. We believe in you. Hyung you HAVE to do it.
LSG: Hyung you are the MC!
MCM: LEE SU GUEN IS THE LEADER! APPLAUSE!!
They all pressure LSGuen into the job.
EJW: When will this have an end? From now on! Now!
Guys all start chanting LSGuen's name.
LSGuen: Ok. Let's go. Let's go.
LOL. Now that LSGuen has gotten everyone's approval, he decides to take up the job of MC. These guys are so funny. HyunSuk hold up the umbrella as a makeshift reporter's mike to interview LSGuen.
MCM: This is the ceremony for the second generation of 1N2D's MC.
LSGuen: Yes, nice to meet you. The MC that the cast looks up to. The nation's MC. The MC who constantly lowers his body (haha because he's short!) Lee Su Guen is here.
While LSGuen goes on crapping about himself (which i won't translate since its mostly just crapping) as the MC, MCM starts pretending to be the backstage crew cum bodyguard. Funny~~
LSGuen: ......I'm the nation's representative MC, so please believe in me and follow me. Thank you.
MCM: Please appoint our duties.
LSGuen: Eun Ji Won-sshi. You are the ... strategy planning section chief!
EJW accepts gratefully. Really, in the formal wear and complete with the chains, EJW can pass off as the mafia already
LSG: Then what business does the strategy planning team carry out?
EJW: Well, first of all, we'll have to take care of the expenses of 1N2D and stuff.
LSGuen: Well, in future, if anyone here films a CF, the earnings will have to be divided equally here.
This causes a stir of course. They move on to the show's name.
LSGuen: We need to change the name to new 1Night 2Days..
They come up with the idea to write the word 주 (Chu, which means new) in front of 1N2D.
LSGuen: Then our MCM is the publicityand public relations head. Since we will face some hardships, to tide us over this, you shall contribute 100,000,000 won.
[Meanwhile]
KHD: Why aren't they calling (me)?
Dae Ju has no answer for him.
PD: Are we not doing Bok-Bul-Bok?
KHD: If we are playing bok-bul-bok... then I have to go down?
PD: Well, the car is there...
KHD: (cuts in) NO NO NO NO NO NO! I don't think so!
Back at the other guys, the PD tells them that KHD has just contacted them and he's not giving in. To move things along, LSGuen decides to go over to negotiate with KHD, with LSG in tow as his umbrella holder.
LSGuen: KHD-SSHI! KHD-sshi! Let's talk! You shouldn't settle things like this! Yea? KHD-sshi! Why are you up there avoiding people? You can't even come out and face us openly? Huh? Are you scared of me? If you're not afraid then how your face! Yea? KHD-sshi!(LSGuen laughs suddenly) sheesh~ ahh... me.. (what am i doing, he means)
LSG: Oh! He came! Hyung is here!
Even while doing the group in discord act, LSG can't stop himself from calling KHD hyung. Haha, little slips here and there that show this whole thing (or at least part of it) was scripted.
LSGuen: KHD-sshi! AJUSSHI!!! (means middle aged man) KHD-sshi! What on earth are you doing now? What are you doing you (rascal)?! Yea? If you have no confidence, then just renounce... (he runs off)
HoDong gives chase. LSGuen reaches the safety of his group, where the others try to stop KHD. LOL, they are still afraid of him, no matter what. It doesn't matter if he's alone, KHD the sirreum champion really scares the living heavens out of these boys
[He dicovers HyunSuk]
[HoDong Feels even more perplexed]
[The clone's counterattack]
The team gets themselves to gather and isolate KHD.
EJW: Well, we still have to go on the trip, and they have prepared the two cars for us.
KHD: I don't even know why I'm having this conversation with you in this situation.
EJW: In this case do you want to just take the car? Just take the car and go?
KimC: KHD-sshi, sorry but...
KHD: Are you going to cut your act? Cut it out!! (goes towards LSGuen) as for YOU...
Everyone rushes to protect LSGuen from the big grizzly bear. KHD starts playing with LSGuen's clothes. LSGuen calls for backup.
LSGuen: Financial chief! Financial chief! This won't do.
LSG: No, chief, what's wrong with you?
EJW goes to LSGuen.
LSGuen: Strategy planning chief! What should do now?
The other guys call for the public relations manager.
EJW: Tell him how we are going to carry on 1N2d from now on.
MCM: In future on our homepage, KHD's photos will not take precedence over the rest of us anymore.
MCM goes on about what will happen in future. (I'll translate that bit when I get home, I can't hear what's he's saying with the music and all the din behind me.)
KHD: Dae Ju yah! Dae Ju yah! Dae Ju yah! (In case you forgot, DJ is the youngest writer. Amazing how we even know the names of the crew on this show, isn't it?)
[He looks for the 'main' writer like he's lost his mind]

KHD: Dae Ju yah, do we have an umbrella? Don't we have an umbrella? We have an umbrella right?
[Dae Ju makes his appearance!] With a pretty and dainty umbrella that DOESN'T fit KHD's image AT ALL.
[Mary Popkins?]
KHD tells them that he doesn't really want to talk to them, and so its decided by KHD that they should settle this quickly and not play bok-bul-bok. He asks them to send out a representative to play the palm slapping game. They also lay out the ground rules that the game should only be played once, the winner will take the bus and the loser takes the car. During the first game, BOTH KHD and LSGuen fell after slapping palms (even though KHD didn't exactly fall onto the ground, just toppled back a little). They start another new game. What happens next is self explanatory. The guys win KHD and run off onto the bus to celebrate without even giving KHD time to blink. Left without a choice, KHD and Dae Ju start studying the map to prepare for their trip.
On the bus
LSGuen: I feel so happy now. I'm so happy, I only wish that time could stop now. This instant, I'm the national MC!
LSG: Really?
LSGuen: Huh? Yea. I'm the district MC, district. Mapo district..
They all giggle. I think the guys are really tired by then, you see LSG yawning, and the other guys seem distracted too. They always seem to start the trip at some ungodly hour, don't they?
Back to KHD
KHD: PD! What about our traveling allowances? You should give us traveling allowance.
PD: Oh yea, I have it here.
[Each team gets 5000 won]
KHD: What's that?
PD: Ah, this is for them.
KHD: I'll give it to them. Give me that.
PD: Huh?;;
KHD: I'll give it to them, give it to me.
[What can I do...]
Back to the guys on the bus, where LSGuen is talking about his being a district MC. KHD knocks on the door.
HyunSuk: Its safari, safari.
[The reason why KHD is waving at them]
KHD's captions [Look here. At this] KHD brandishes the other team's money.
EJW: He's holding on to our money!
LSG: No, what do we do now?
LSGuen: We just have to deal with it. Who's the strategist?
LSG: Its JiWon hyung.
LSGuen: Go get the money back.
EJW: This is a problem with money. Money problems should go to the financial chief!
LSG: Yea. money problems should go to the financial chief!
LSGuen: Entertainment chief!
[His words don't even make sense]
LSG: Hey, entertainment chief? Why me??
Meanwhile KHD is really happy outside.
LSG: 5000won? We'll just give up the 5000 won!
[No interest in the money outside at all, the six people]
KHD's captions [Oh? Why's it turning out like this?]
He tries going near the bus again and trying to get some reaction out of the guys by waving the money near the window. Well that turned out to be a mistake. Eun Cho Ding immediately grabbed it with his fast hands, and KHD was left without any immunition against the guys. The guys inside the bus all rejoice.
LSG: Here, let's set off! Set off, set off!
