Last week: 1N2D goes to Busan!
We see some cuts of what they did for last week, and we're brought back to the baseball match where the guys are about to experience some new stuff. First we hear the guy in the Lotte uniform announce something.
Announcer: The first mission, sexy dance!
The camera closes up on a woman in the stands, and she's supposedly required to complete the mission. Meanwhile Seung Gi looks on in interest. Its all part of the tradition, and Seung Gi is picked for the next task, which is to do a dance. He gamely gets down to the task and does that Huh-dang bounce and that gull dance of his. It doesn't look too bad, but Seung Gi buries his head in the newspaper pompom in embarrassment.
Announcer: Next mission! Sea gull dance!
We them have a bunch of guys on the screen doing the hilarious dance. Someone then passes out boxes of pizza to LSG, and they happily munch on it.
MCM: Pass it over here, pass it over!
As usual, the guys HAVE to fight over food, even when its just pizza. KimC and KHD start tugging at the box of pizza, and while the guys are busy squabbling over the pizza, the crowd behind them chants 아주라. Which basically is another one of the lovely quirks the Busan crowd has while watching baseball, they're asking the guys to give up the pizza to the kids. Such a sweet gesture! Now the problem is resolved as they hand the pizza out to the kids. Next up, the crowd starts chanting 봉다리, which puzzles the guys. Anyway someone was kind enough to explain to the guys that they were supposed to wear the plastic bag thing that was being passed out on their heads. Its all to add to the fun of watching the game. We have KHD, KimC, LSG being role models and wearing their bags nicely blown and sitting on top of their heads, and we of course need to have MCM and EJW demonstrating the wrong way of wearing it. LOL. These guys are too cute for words. Anyway, the guys are all anxious about the outcome of the baseball match. The PDs remind us why they are so anxious with a quick flash to a boat on the river, because the outcome is going to determine who goes fishing (and fishing here is an UNDERSTATEMENT) at the crack of dawn the next day. The expression on their faces was priceless when the Lotte guy scored a run soon after. EJW and LSGuen looked so crestfallen, like they couldn't believe what was happening in front of their eyes.
I think the editors were really careful with the handling of this scene, because we are brought into the conversation between the PD and another staff member at the baseball match, where he tells the PD during the 8th inning that the 1N2D team should leave early, in consideration of the safety of the fans as well as the 1N2D members. They lines onscreen showed that Lotte was leading at that point of time, but Doosan caught up during the 9th and 10th inning to turn the tables around, 6:5. (Sorry if i used the wrong technical terms here, I'm not a baseball fan, I'm more of a soccer kinda girl. My apologies!) They very quickly glossed over the outcome of the match with a few lines onscreen, no fanfare or footage of the guys expressions at the outcome. Everything happened really fast here, and you get the sense that things seemed a little rushed, a tad too obvious that the editors were eager to skim over the issue. But I guess that's just a small tradeoff that we have to live with since we all don't want to fan the whole incident further. Back to the guys at their nightly meeting, and they start by first applauding the winners.

KHD mentions that they had earlier made a promise to do away with Bok Bul Bok this time and all of them would sleep outdoors.
EJW: But why are you only mentioning this? There's more to that.
Yes, there's more to sleeping outdoors. Now they have to settle on which team to go catch eels and which team to go help out at the seafood market.
KimC: The Doosan team should have the priority to choose before us.
KHD: Yes, but even though they have the right to choose before us, here we should do this.
EJW's caps [What is he up to again?!...]
KHD then goes on about how they should change the team that goes on the boat since the viewers would not want to see the same faces on the boat again, thus they should consider switching teams, or something along those lines in his usual warped logic. I think he mentions how MCM hasn't been on the fishing expeditions even once, and MCM agrees, saying that it would be absolutely uninteresting for him to go on the boat and it would be more interesting if he stays on dry land. LOL, KHD sees that his tactic is not working, and kneels down to start over again. Immediately EJW reacts in the same way, going on his knees.
EJW: Ah! What are you doing again?!
KHD: If our MCM refuses (to go on the boat), then our LSG will have no choice (but to go on the boat). MCM hasn't been on (the fishing expeditions) even once before.

KHD: At the same time, our nation's best able man, the laborious entertainer, LSGuen hasn't seen the boat even once before too. The most important thing is (clasps his hands together) I will go too.
Caps for LSGuen, EJW [Weren't you supposed to go in the first place??]
KHD: In this case, I will take the boat too.
EJW: You were supposed to take it in the first place!
KHD: We have our little brother on this team that we should spare a thought for. Our little brother LSG...
LSG: I'll go even if i throw up blood!
MCM: Even if he's a weak little brother, the little brother we love.. (KimC cuts in, coughing)
KimC: I'll be back, gonna go get some flu medicine first!
KHD: Look, teacher KimC has a flu now you know.
LSG and MCM start coughing to get out of going on the boat too. LOL.
LSGuen: Just look at these people, they're really going all out to the point of falling sick. (This is kinda a rough translation of what he said. He's trying to say the two are gong to the extent of falling sick to get out of the boat trip)
KHD then keeps going on about how he's going on the boat trip (he's trying to make himself sound self sacrificial, but the funny thing here is that he was originally supposed to go anyway!) LSG and MCM starts bickering, with LSG asking what's to be done about KimC (since he was sick). KHD asks EJW if he wants to make any changes and EJW replies that he was given the right to choose (and his answer is obvious, stay on dry land). The PD cuts in here, to which KHD says he'll go because KimC is sick, and then he goes on to worry about LSG too, who was extremely seasick the last time they went on the fishing mission. Aww. So sweet of KHD! After this, LSG basically starts over-reacting at the thought of going on the boat.
LSG: Ah, even if i throw up till I collapse, I'll still go!
This line earns a stupefied silence from EJW and LSGuen, explaining the large ... that flashed on the screen. KimC tries to defend him and while everyone is trying to get their opinions in, LSG flares up for a moment in his typical Ook fashion :D
LSG: It's ok. Ah, IF I DON'T GO WHAT WILL HAPPEN? I have to! (he means how can he not go)
EJW: Hey, IF I DON'T GO WHAT WILL HAPPEN? why are you like this? Why must you go?
Someone in the group says its ok. The two kids are on the verge of quarreling in earnest.
LSG: No, its not that I won't go! If I don't go you will object..
EJW: Then why are you being like this?
KHD: Hey we are in the middle of filming, don't be so serious, you!
EJW says he's like this because of the way LSG is behaving. At this moment, LSGuen steps in to save the day.
LSGuen: I think I have to go (on the boat trip). I've been thinking seriously about it...
EJW: You've been thinking about it now?
LSGuen: Thinking about it, our show airs for around 70 mins, and I only appear 8 minutes out of the 70!
HAHAHA! I love LSGuen and his moments sometimes. He stepped in at the right time to save the guys further trouble, and cleanly sidestepped the awkwardness with his brilliant reason. He says he wants the camera to film him more when they are catching the eels, and that's the end of the first part of the problem, since KimC wouldn't have to go with LSGuen taking his place. Another LOL moment when LSGuen gives another reason "Look at KimC hyung. Just plain looking at him makes you feel he's pitiful!" Now it all boils down to MCM and LSG, and LSG looks mighty uncomfortable at the thought of taking the boat, and coughs furiously like he's about to throw up. I know how it feels to be seasick, so I really empathize with him (but this doesn't mean I don't feel he's a little sneaky here, haha!)
LSG: AHHHH. I'm going. Mong hyung, I'll go.
MCM: Of course.
LSG: Mong hyung can't go even in such circumstances, he won't go even if he dies! So what can we do?
MCM covers his ears and pretends he can't hear what KHD and the others are saying. The guys are worried for LSG, and KHD says because MCM won't go, LSG has to go, and the conversation gets chaotic as LSG keeps saying "Mong hyung won't go!" while KimC is trying to get MCM to go listing stuff to make MCM feel guilty. While LSG is trying to pacify KimC, MCM quietly creeps up behind LSG and gives him a big kick.
MCM: YAH! I'LL GO!! I'm going! I'll go!
YYes! Their antagonistic tactic works and MCM loses his cool. So its settled that KimC, EJW and LSG go the the market, while the rest go on the fishing trip. The guys then get down to resting. They don't get to rest too much before Sang Guen is brought out to wake them up. I guess they decided not to show all the details this week, I'm sure waking up at such an ungodly hour isn't going to be too pretty. Fast forward and we have the boys going to the wet market on the bus.
EJW: Oh, I really didn't even sleep a wink!
LSG: Hyung, if you didn't even sleep a wink, then really, what about us...!
KimC: Are you in your right mind, why are you like that?
EJW: Huh what?
LSG&KimC: YOUR SNORING!
LSG: Your snoring is really something! Ah, I was really tired, so tired but (mimics EJW's snoring) *grrrek ccrrrrr grrrrrek crrrrr*
KimC: That's exactly how it sounds like!
LSG: Really, hyung!
We are taken back to the fitful night of sleep EJW claims to have had, but in fact was what KimC and LSG went through. EJW was snoring like it was the end of the world, leaving LSG, who was sleeping beside him helpless.

[What do I do...]
[Agony...] LSG whistles here, for some reason. I'm guessing he was hoping for EJW to be woken up so that the snoring would stop
[Whistling?]
[But its of no use]
LSG: Jiwon hyung!
[In the end he covers his ears and turns away from him]
EJW: I really didn't sleep a wink! Ah my body. I was really tired too, and wanted to fall asleep fast...
LSG: But you fell asleep...
EJW: No I didn't..
LSG: If you watch the tapes (the camera) again, Hyung you fell asleep within 10 minutes!
EJW: No, no, no..
*flashback to the night again. [The start of bedtime is simultaneously the start of deep sleep]
KimC and LSG's expression were priceless here when EJW denied falling asleep. Snoring may seem like a little thing, but its hard to get used to these things if you are a light sleeper. It makes things worse that the snorer doesn't know he's snoring since you don't exactly hear yourself when you sleep. I really liked this small episode here, it was undoubtedly funny, but for me it also showed how the guys are tolerant and considerate towards each other with the small things. They could have lost their temper or woke EJW up, but they spoke to him so nicely. Aww.
KHD's team is headed to the seas to catch eels in the meantime. Its obvious that all the guys have had a rough night, all of them exhausted, the lines of lack of sleep etched onto their faces. Poor SuGuen got it really bad though.
LSGuen: Ah, those mozzies seem to be doing a great job defending their territory. They even sting people's eyes!
This cracks up the tired KHD. While LSGuen tries to get some cool relief rolling a bottle of water on his bitten eye, MCM drags himself onto the bus with a huge sigh, and the bus moves off. KHD asks the PD about their destination, and the PD replies that they are going to meet the captain first. KHD then talks about how when doing 1N2D, they are always tired and complain that its really tough, and that the schedule really is pushing them to their limits. It struck me particularly when he said "When I was sleeping yesterday, I thought if I fell asleep, I would forever never be able to open my eyes again. I really felt uneasy. But then we got woken up again.." This is exactly the reason why sometimes I feel conflict. I love the show, but it obviously taxes the 6 guys physically and mentally. They'd have to take a break at some point of time, but I would miss them so. The caps onscreen very neatly then summarised their situation [The schedule that is a real test for them...], after which we get a preview of how they are all going to suffer and get seasick later on.
Meanwhile the other 3 have arrived at the wet market.
LSG: What time is it now? PD? 5:35am?
That's really early! Their first task is to transport ice around the wet market for the hawkers, and they get down to it enthusiastically.
LSG: Wow, this is really no joke!
Man: Each bag is 30kg.
The women in the market are naturally thrilled to see LSG lugging the bags of ice they need for them early in the morning.
Woman 1: Aigoo... He was on television this morning and now he's here!
Woman 2 (as he is about go off with the wheels): Aigoo, you're so pretty*!
LSG: Haha, thanks, I'll be back!
Random woman: Come by all morning! (like, so that they can see him more :D)
*note: in korean, pretty is used to describe guys too. It doesn't have the feminine connotation the english equivalent will have in this case, it just means good-looking/nice/handsome in general.
For EJW, while he wheeling the ice through the market, he's screaming and making sure everyone know the ice has arrived at the same time. LOL.
EJW: THE ICE IS HERE! Whew, running (this service) is so tough! (he drags a bag of ice out, plops it on the floor and hold out his hands) Money!
The store owner is taken aback by EJW for a moment, while the arrow onscreen directs our attention to another lady who's laughing her guts out at EJW's antics.
Lady: You can come back and get your money later when you have finished everything later!
LOL!! Some other ladies at the side comment "Aigoo, he's having a hard time!~" How can he have a harder time than these women who work so early at the market everyday for all their lives? EJW goes "Please buy loads of ice!" and the women reply "Please send us loads of ice!" HAHA. Too cute! KimC is working hard outside, shoveling ice into the bags that LSG and EJW have to wheel around to the store holders, and we get a contrast of how different things are for him as opposed to LSG who is the object of adoration for the women in the market.
LSG: Ah, thank you, fighting!
Woman: Aigoo, our Seung Gi is so pretty*!
LSG: Ah, thank you!
Before he knows it, they are stuffing food into his mouth. I find it hilarious how people associate the 1N2D guys with food. Everywhere they go, the automatic response people get is to feed them. LSG tries to/ tell them that he's not supposed to eat, but the women don't care anyway, and open a drink for him. LSG asks if he can really have the drink and they reassure him he can, to which he gulps it down.
Woman: Ah, do you have any idea how much the moms like you? (:D)
LSG: Thank you!
Woman: Lee Seung Gi fighting!
LSG goes back to where KimC is working feeling guilty, so he decides to confess first.
LSG: Hyung, I had no choice but to eat 2 pieces of rice cake before coming back. I had no choice.
KimC: What did you eat?
LSG: Rice cake!
KimC: Why did they offer it to you but not me?
KimC is so cool sometimes. KHD would have made a big fuss, but KimC just glossed over it calmly and continued to work.
EJW then meets a lady selling shellfishes, and as he is marveling over the spread, the lady kindly offers him one.
Lady: Want to have a clam? Do you want it?
EJW gave a sigh of frustration and was about to walk away when the lady said he could eat it as a meal or something, it was ok, and EJW was all excited at the prospect and went "Oh really?" The VJ by his side was shocked, I think at the thought of eating shellfishes so early in the morning (I mean you don't exactly eat oysters and clams for breakfast do you?) but EJW got all indignant, gesturing that the lady had offered it to him, it wasn't like it was his idea. HAHA. Anyway the lady shells out the meat for EJW while telling him "Eat this, I hope the 1N2D team will gain strength and do well" EJW is a picture of delight when he chomps on it, going "Oh! Its delicious!" Of course its delicious, its probably fresh out of the waters! EJW goes back to brag to LSG.
EJW: Hey, the lady gave me an oyster to eat!
*I'm not sure what kind of shellfish it is, so I'm just naming it oyster, it maybe an oyster, clam, or other kinds of shellfish, you guys can see it for yourself onscreen :)
KimC: HEY!! Why didn't they offer it to me?
Caps [Working outside, he's got nothing to eat] [KimC's sad (back) reflection]
KHD and team arrive at the pier, where people are already hard at work preparing the bait that's needed. There's a lady rhythmically chopping up the meat that's used for the bait, and LSGuen dances along with the rhythm going "Oh~ Eel!~" The guys chip in to help, KHD fixing the bait onto the hooks, while MCM and LSGuen carry the completed bucks onto the boat. More notable are two of the captions here [There's no wind at the pier] [Everything looks like the perfect situation!] Tides change and at no notice at all, as we will see later. Well, the guys get onto the boat happily thinking all is well, and they set off not knowing that a tough ride is in for them. Seriously, 1N2D has the worst luck when it comes to weather and boat trips. KHD holds onto a pole on the boat while exclaiming "WOW", while his caps go [Afraid of getting seasick from the start] and on the other side we see MCM prancing around, with his caps [but the wold monkey has no fear...] [Seasickness doesn't exist in my vocabulary!]
LSGuen: Ah! There are waves already!
KHD is at the side and he looks green in the face already. MCM the wild monkey is up to his usual antics, saying that they should follow the rhythm (of the waves? haha). KHD tries to let us know the current situation on the sea, and he concludes "Its the worst sea condition on the history of 1N2D, the worst!" MCM is the only one who is optimistic here, dancing his circus dance with the turbulent waves as his makeshift backdrop and pretending to survey the seas like those cartoon captains, while KHD and LSGuen look on in amazement [He's not normal...] [He's crazy...]
Back at the market, the guys are having a blast. EJW wheels the ice for yet another lady, who promptly whips out an apple to give to the little elementary kid. EJW declines her offer, saying that he has had something else given to him (which we will find out in due course what it is). KimC is still laboriously shoveling the ice into the sacks when a lady (wow, there sure are many ladies in this episode) comes up to him.
Lady: Please give me 3,000 won worth of ice!
KimC: 3,000 won worth of ice?
Lady: Yea! Please get Seung Gi to send it over!
KimC: Yes... Seung Gi...
HAHAHAHAHA! Poor KimC!! He's a great guy, and sometimes its really quite sad to see him getting less affection from the citizens because of the younger ones in the team. Other times its just plain hilarious. Oh my. I really love this team! Seung Gi brings the ice over to another stall holder and you can really see how popular he is.
Lady 1: Ah! Well done.. you really came out well (you were brought up well)
Lady 2: (intercepts LSG with a pen) Our daughter really really likes you!
Lady 3: I really don't know how much our daughter likes you!
LSG: Ah really?
Lady 3: Yes!! Oh two please (i think she's asking him to sign twice)
Back to EJW, where he's received yet another can of drink. The caps had me snorting in laughter [The young sons look like they're in heaven at the wet market] LOL!!
EJW: Yah! Eel (team)! *laughs madly* I love it here at the market! Wow! What should we do? What about the eel (team)?
EJW can be such an elementary kid, but that's really where his charm lies! Back on the boat, the poor team that has to catch eels are almost all wiped out. LSGuen is lying down because he's seasick, MCM is lying down because his [battery died!] (No kidding, that's what the caps on screen said. I was giggling so madly when i saw this) KHD is also suffering form seasickness, and the three guys are sprawled out all over the boat in their various states of distress. Meanwhile in the market, the old man is talking to EJW, telling him even though they've worked hard and well to finish their job, there's another more pressing and urgent job for them to complete. The guys are a little taken aback at the sudden request, but at the man's urging, they quickly bid the ice man farewell and move on to their next job, where they have to climb up the lorry and start bringing the fresh fishes out of their tanks. Its funny when an old couple walks by and the woman goes "Lee Seung Gi! Lee Seung Gi is there!" while the man goes "What?"
EJW: Hey Seung Gi! Why are you stabbing at me with a spear when we are here too? (he refers to the incident where they were helping the guy put up the netting at dawn) The person behind you, the person behind you! Why are you so carelessly brandishing the spear?
The locals have a field day taking pictures of the guys working on the lorry.
Guy: I'm taking this so that my kids can see it!
Its sweet when this lady recognises KimC.
Lady: Its Kim C... Kim C looks better than I imagined!
LSG: I really want to help out more, but because we are not up to mark (at the job), it seems like the fishes are all dying!
KimC: The pros did it all! The pros!
The old man then thank the guys for their work, and even praises them "You guys worked better than you appear to on TV!" He goes on to tell the guys that it would be Busan's Sea Festival from October 8 to October 12, where they would be able to get cheap and delicious seafood and Huh-Dang appears again.
LSG: In that case then we can eat as much as we like? Then we'll be able to pick up the hickory (a kind of fish) and eat them just like popcorn?

OMG. Too funny, this was really too funny. However, things weren't as comical on the boat for KHD's team though.
KHD: Have we reached the deep end of the ocean?
Yes they have, after 1 hour and 30 minutes of traveling on the rough waters. LSGuen asks them how long would it take for them to get a bite after they lower the hooks, and the fisherman replies right away. As they are lowering the baits, KHD asks if there's anything they could help out, and the sea replies them with more turbulence. The PD asks LSGuen if the waves are harsh for him, and he says its really no joke to be caught in the midst of the frantic waves. Its so back that the entire boat is rocking as they speak, even the camera can't seem to keep still! KHD makes the remark that its the worst sea condition that they have experienced on 1N2D history, even worse then that they met with at Dokdo, which is saying a lot about the sea turbulence. In spite of that, they try to get some work done, but the waves are so strong that the boat continues to rock violently, throwing KHD to the other end of the boat where LSGuen is.
LSGuen: Why are you rolling towards me! (to MCM) No, you can't carry with with only one hand! Never! You're ruining it all! YOU ARE RUINING IT ALL!
MCM looks really guilty for spoiling the baits. In the end the hooks couldn't be used for the day, and he looked really down. Poor MCM. It wasn't really his fault since he didn't really know how to handle those things anyway. In the end, LSGuen carried all the hooks with the baits over to the captain himself, while MCM stood by the sidelines, unable to work because of his fear that he'd do something wrong again. The waves have no intention of letting up, and the guys are more seasick than ever. One of the workers on the boat report their situation back to land via the communication system.
Worker: Ah, he's asking if KHD is seasick.
KHD: Boss, KHD is so seasick now he could die!
Worker: If you take a bath in seawater, then you won't get seasick anymore.
KHD: Huh? So I should jump into the water? Wow.. I'm dying.
Both KHD and LSGuen are seasick, while MCM is the only one doing work all by himself on the other end of the boat. Poor MCM, i think he really felt bad about ruining the hooks and wanted to make up for it. He was the only one who was fortunate enough not to be seasick. KHD starts gagging on the boat because he feels really nauseous, and starts recounting how compared to all the other rides he has had, this is really the worst and he's really in bad shape now. He tells us how he really wants to help the workers, but he's been completely tamed by the Busan sea waters. Because of his seasickness, he gives in to the wrath of the sea. KHD's face is really a sick shade of green by now, and I really sympathize with him. The PD asks if MCM is ok, and he's like "What, I don't feel anything at all!" and goes on about how the camera is filming KHD and he's complaining about his seasickness and all, while MCM doesn't even feel a thing at all. Caps are funny here, with KHD looking sick to the stomach and the caps going [He's not even human...] KHD goes in to rest, being K.O (knocked out), as the captions so kindly tell us.
On the other hand, the market team tuck into a seafood spread that looks sizzlingly good!
LSG: But the Eel team on the boat... I've come here but they...
Caps [If you haven't taken the boat, then don't say anything!]
LSG: Ah, really. I feel so sorry and thankful towards Mong hyung, really! Its because I switched with Mong hyung that I was able to come here!
EJW: Then you are a pinch hitter! You are not even qualified to eat here! I may be eating but I'm at least eating my own fair and rightful share. Hyung you too!
KimC: I wonder how SuGuen is doing now..
LSG: Ah, really...
LSG looks like he feels really bad. While EJW greedily tucks into the amazing looking fish, LSG looks on at them, leaving his meal untouched as he just can't overcome his guilt towards MCM.
LSG: The guys on the boat will get to eat some great stuff later won't they? Mong hyung will get to eat too won't he? I'll eat well.. Mong hyung...
KimC: I've thought a lot about those days in Uljin.. SuGuen ah.. you should be doing well now right?
That leaves LSG still unable to even bring his spoon to his mouth. EJW cuts in.
EJW: In that case, Seung Gi and hyung, you should eat this well with an apologetic (remorseful) heart. And because we have received so much (from the locals) today, we should do something in return for them!
LSG: How?
EJW: Since they are all so busy, why don't we make them a cup of coffee to drink?
LSG: Oh... we can do it in Mong hyung's name!
EJW: (asking the PDs) Can we serve the men and women who have worked so hard here a cup of coffee?
Of course they can, seeing that its a good deed. The boys get cracking, boiling water and lots of instant coffee to divide into the many cups they bought. LSG is still as worried for the boat team as ever, standing near the water and musing to himself.
LSG: Ah, its all nice and picturesque here looking at the seagulls, but what about the boat team, the boat team?
Caps as they stare into the water, LSG [Mong hyung!] KimC [SuGuen ah] EJW [Now where did Sang Guen go?]
LSG: This looks like its salty?
EJW: Why salty?
LSG: No, it looks very sweet!
LOL! The boy can't even tell the difference between sweet and salty now. After they are done brewing the coffee, they make their rounds in the market, telling everyone that the coffee is courtesy of MCM and LSGuen. There was a lady who was exclaiming about how they've already worked hard for them in the morning and now they back with another sweet gesture, and KimC tells her its courtesy of MCM and LSGuen, to which she gladly accepts the coffee with her thanks. EJW is still busy making more coffee outdoors, and he tells the old man to try his coffee (Eun's brew, LOL!!). The boss is happy and tells him its delicious :D EJW happily heads off to serve coffee to more people.
EJW: Mom*! Mom*! Hello! Ah, you've worked hard. Please have a cup of coffee!
Another quirk in the korean language here. Yes, people affectionately call women of a certain age Mom too, even when they are not really their moms.
Woman: Oh, we must try the taste of the coffee that our son* has made for us once! You've worked hard!
*same thing. He's not really her son but affectionately calls him that.
EJW: Yes, please be healthy!
Women: You look younger (here) than you do on television! (after EJW walks away) He's Lee Seung Gi! Right?
EJW: (without turning behind) I'm Jiwon, JiWon!
They continue to serve coffee, much to the delight of everyone in the market. LSG is very clearly the most popular amongst the women, with all of them fawning over him, telling him how popular he is amongst the moms. HAHA, its so cute! Everyone is going in for a grope or a touch, on his face, his butt... and LSG looked so shy and lost :D "I really have to admit it... its the best, the best!" Aww. LSG is so cute. The women decide to give them some fresh fishes to express their gratitude, which they dump on the tray EJW is carrying with much relish. EJW is clearly terrified and starts shrieking and jumping away, in the midst of merry laughter from the women.
On the boat though, there is not much laughter. KHD is still K.O by his seasickness, and LSGuen takes over the task of leading the filming. They are clearly excited when the fishes start coming in, with LSGuen yelling in his excitement. He sits down and starts marveling over the different kinds of fishes that have been caught. They are all really HUGE! Meanwhile MCM hides behind. He's apparently afraid of the fishes. LSGuen tries to get him seated to hold the newly caught fishes, only to have MCM getting panic attacks and squirming each time a fish comes near him. He's so panicky that he even backs away when the worker gets up to go somewhere! LOL. To his credit, he does hold some of the smaller fishes they caught, but he's hopeless when it comes to the bigger ones as well as the eels, and even the worker seems a little exasperated at his inane fear. Its such a hilarious contrast, with LSGuen so happy and excited, even kissing one of the larger fishes, while MCM cowers behind him in fear. LSGuen gets annoyed and screams "MCM what are you doing?!", and so MCM decides to try picking up the fish, albeit a little gingerly. Its a big task for him, and the worker decides to end his agony by picking it up and throwing the fish into the bucket for him. By this time, LSGuen looks like he can't hold up any longer against seasickness as well, and MCM is the only one left standing in a while trying to do some work. The team decides to take a break from filming, and the team lies helter skelter all over the boat, LSGuen, the PD, the cameraman, and the writer. KHD is still out cold as usual. MCM is the only one who is fine, and standing on the boat.
MCM: (Video Jockey hyung) go rest! Me? I'm not seasick.
In the end, even the VJ gives up to get some rest and stops filming. All the 1N2D staff onboard are all wiped out apart from MCM. Guy sure has a strong stomach. He says on the deck alone, with one of the other workers. The staff members see him from the other boat they are filming on, and PD Yoo (the youngest PD) and another VJ wonder about what kind of work he's doing alone without the others. Even though we can't see what he's doing clearly because they are filming him form a distance, its clear that he's the last man standing to protect the deck. LOL. The VJ finally manages to pull himself together and continue filming, and we find out that MCM has been working on rearranging the hooks and bait all this time while everyone was out cold. The VJ turns behind and his camera captures all that MCM has done, the buckets and buckets of bait, all done alone. I was so touched by this scene, I couldn't say anything when i saw all that he'd done quietly to make up for his earlier mistake, as well as as in place of the team who were all suffering from seasickness. MCM. Truly a great guy. He goes over to check on KHD, who is still in no condition to talk. Because the condition is so bad, the team has no choice but to jump over to the other boat and head back to shore after 7 grueling hours on board, while the workers go on with their fishing. MCM teases KHD, asking him "Oh so you've finally woken up? Did you have a good sleep?" KHD then went on to tell how it seemed that he had been out for so long, only to wake up to the team telling him it was time to leave. The PD then praised MCM.
PD: But I really saw MC Mong in a new light today. Besides the fact that he wasn't seasick, when I was resting because of seasickness in the middle of filming just now, I saw this out of the corner of my eye. The VJ (cameraman) was also resting and he wasn't even filming (the camera was off), but our friend here still continued to work alone... Honestly, something inside me was touched.
MCM of course has to get into his dramatic act again, kissing LSGuen and KHD and launching into a speech about how he will watch over and protect the members of 1N2D, how he'll always be watching over 1N2D :D That spells the end of the nightmare for the guys, as they finally land, with the other guys waiting eagerly for them. LSG keeps yelling excitedly for his dear MCM, asking him if he's ok, and the guys all laugh when they see KHD green and sick to the stomach. KHD starts telling them all about the insane waves of Busan, and how its really the worst he's seen in all his years of filming. He then starts apologizing and kneeling down, to which the guys at the side all giggle. LSG makes the remark that his clothes look as good as new, and the other guys say its so clean that he could even reuse it again. KimC makes the observation that even their clothes were stained form working at the market, but KHD's clothes look almost spotless. We all know why, don't we? With this, KHD urges everyone to visit Busan, and the episode ends, with some flashbacks to the past.
*on the bus ride to Baekdusan*
"1N2D should really go to Busan someday"
"Let's go to Busan the next time"
"Let's go Busan and have a meal for once!"
[And so we start our Busan trip]
EJW: Haven't you thought of taking that off?
LSG: Just look at my forehead and you'll know!
LSGuen: Why are you doing this? Is it some symbol of wealth?
EJW&LSGuen: Yes! Now you look dashing!
LSGuen: Yes! You look handsome this way! (as LSG adjusts his headband) Stop!
[And so thats the start of our memories]
[At Hyundae we met the students who were out for a spin]
[MC Mong and the delighted foreingers]
[The locals we met at the subway]
[And the cute kindergarten kids we met at the beach]
[The young girl we et at the house]
[We will remember the sights we saw]

All right, That's the end! This was really a special episode for me. I loved how the guys went around doing the good deed in LSGuen and MCM's name, I adored how MCM was the hero of the day on the boat, I loved how the locals embraced the 6 guys with such affection and enthusiasm. This, is the spirit of 1N2D, always giving joy and delight, even though there may be hardships along the way. Be back next episode!
